What are your criteria for upvoting/downvoting?

I hate that I always compare Lemmy to Reddit, but Reddit used to have (not sure if they still do) guidelines called “Reddiquette” that included guidelines about upvoting and downvoting. I don’t remember the specifics (and sending too much of my browser traffic to Reddit makes me feel dirty) but one of the guidelines was...

I can’t believe Janeway made him take back the bed with satin sheets. And the puppy!

But also: the look of “omfg, really?” When Q and Q “have sex” by just touching (finger) tips. She was forever kicking herself after that. Could have had a demi-god child, a puppy and a heart shaped bed with satin sheets. Oh, and I guess maybe been sent home or something stupid, idk.

I really like his exasperation at the computer for creating gangsters that want to shoot him while he is trying to relax in his Dixon Hill holonovel. Imagine trying to relax without violence in a noir detective novel. lol

Check the EXIF tags; they potentially were not scrubbed and often contain geolocational data.

Reverse image search can also help track down the original, though it takes a bit more sleuthing than just the reverse search.
