The Romans used to do the opposite, and tie their foreskin shut just to be extra sure no one would see the head of their penis.

Oh, uh, hello. How does one break this DRM, out of curiosity?

Liz, to lemmyshitpost in The four houses dads belong to.

Yep. Corded tools don’t need to be charged. Love it!

Extremely wrong. The ideal A:Z ratio is more like 1:4.

I do actually think this one is an improvement, and I’m usually a UI change hater.

Ahhh thank you, I’m getting my words mixed up.

I would imagine having an inverter would allow you to avoid situations where individual parts heat too quickly during your heat cycle, but the advantage probably isn’t that big. Afterall, you could just heat it at a slightly lower power to stop whatever overheating effect you’re troubled with.

I hate inflation too, but I understand why it’s necessary. Imagine if rich people had an even easier time hoarding their wealth.

Although now that think of it, maybe at this point we really don’t need to create positive feedback loops for economic growth anymore.

In my opinion, we shouldn’t waste time in the courts arguing over whether a claim or offer made by an algorithm is considered reasonable or not. If you want to blindly rely on the technology, you have to be responsible for its output. Keep it simple and let the corporations (and the people making agreements with a chatbot) shoulder the risk and responsibility.

While I’m downright chuckling at the desire to go back to rotary phones, I gotta appreciate that there’s always someone who liked things better the old way.

I love how people are mad that you’re right. The only technicality I’d add is that concealed carry is a thing, so you likely walk past people carrying without knowing it, but that’s the whole point of concealed carry in the first place.

Mass shooting events like this are a social problem that ends up being very complex when you start to actually try and figure out why they happen and how to prevent them. There is no short answer, but Angry White Men by Michael Kimmel is a good place to start.

Great point in that first paragraph. In the second paragraph, it’s my understanding that you can’t sue if there was no expectation of safety. If the path isn’t cleared in the slightest, then you’re not liable. I also know that in some areas the owner can just write into the lease “you guys have to clear the snow” and it becomes the tenant’s responsibility.

Anyway, fucking, clear your sidewalks people, be nice.

Remember that Z is the radius. It’s flatter than you think. I made sure to reference an actual rectangle before making that statement.

Is the chrome OS not full-fledged? I used it once ten years ago. Seemed fine.

Nice! I inherited mine from my grandfather and I hope to pass it on myself someday.

Don’t all microwave ovens have an inverter? Like, isn’t that the thing that produces the photons?
