I hope someday we'll find a way to pirated a car (lemmy.world)

In the end, the KIA car company made its cars into subscription models, I really hate this because in the end the car we buy with our own money doesn’t feel like it belongs to us. Should we finally buy an old school car ? so as not to be affected by this subscription models or is there a way to crack the software installed in...

MDKAOD,

I bought a 2021 VW GLI, it has a software component called Car-net that has literally never worked. I don’t even know what it’s supposed to do. The little I’ve found is that it’s supposed to have an app remote start and maybe a few other features, but according tk carnet, my car is still dealer owned. There have been at least six contacts to the car net folks from the dealer about the issue. I have a remote start on my FOB so whatever, but the car software support issue is so real. 🤷🏼‍♂️

MDKAOD,

I thought that we collectively were moving away from this term?

I don’t like the sleeve method. Grime just hangs out on your sleeves and then gets deep in the fibers. No thank you. I use my pinky and ring fingers when I absolutely have to.

MDKAOD,

Of course I can search, but I’m asking here for personal experiences because, ya know, content.

MDKAOD,

I’ve had mixed results with egg rings. Silicone versions suck, and the last set of metal rings I had were apparently painted and started chipping away when cooking/cleaning.

MDKAOD,

My 2021 VW GLI is mostly buttons. There’s a big touchscreen for the infotainment, except volume. There’s a “tuner” knob but it doesn’t really so anything (I don’t listen to am/fm radio). HVAC controls are all buttons and knobs. Steering wheel controls are also buttons and switches.

I love this car lol

My wife had a super cool phone that would slide up to reveal a full keyboard. Really slick. Her favorite phone to this day, her Nexus 5 was a close second.

Edit: Samsung gravity 3

MDKAOD,

Two additions from the 3do era, PO’ed and Killing Time.

PO’ed was an fps with over engineered level designs and humanoid butt cheeks with legs and teeth that fired green projectiles. The 3do version had terrible controls and the game came out shortly before the console was abandoned. It was later released to ps1 to no fanfare, but had updated controls.

Killing Time was a cross between Doom and 7th Guest. It has fmv sprites to advance the story and is generally pretty advanced for its time. After Panasonic abandoned the 3do, Killing Time was ported to pc. It’s currently on sale at GOG. I might buy it lol

MDKAOD,

New funhaus, while different, is just as good as old funhaus. Shame they’re moving towards live content.

MDKAOD,

Giga, but tuck openSUSE closer to the mascot. Use the negative space between the feet and above the open in a clever way.

MDKAOD,

Looking back at history, we’re there other flights as attack vectors that a ground stop prevented from executing their plan? Or was a ground stop, albeit the correct course of action, pointless in preventing anything because the plan had already been executed in full?

MDKAOD,

Nailed it. Sorry @filister, definitely was not a commentary on your post.

“hey here’s news. Maybe. I can’t actually tell you. It’s just what I was told. This hasn’t been relevant to me since it once was. But here’s a blog post about it. I like cheese.”

Gamers who have gamed for a long time

do you find it difficult to get into games? I’ve got Epic Games and Steam Games libraries chock-full of classic top-tier games along with many other newer games like Stray or 2077, and a bunch of indie titles. I just can’t be bothered to download and install them, much less try to get into the characters and storylines. Used...

There as a brief period in the early 00’s where this kind of browser game was prevalent. I can’t remember the names, but same concept. They were perfect for lunch period, issue commands, and hope you made the right choices when you logged in the next day.

MDKAOD,

Found it, and apparently it still exists: www.planetarion.comThe universe ticks every real world hour.

MDKAOD,

The picture of the business card in the OP is the same picture used in the site linked in the email (and in your post)

MDKAOD,

Keep in mind how Google works. It’s taking your metrics into consideration. So someone who has never Googled lemmy likely wouldn’t have seen thst same result.

MDKAOD,

Cooper sharp is the burger cheese.
