I recommend ignoring update requests when they pop up. It’s not just Boost, I’ve seen so many of those kids of ads now that I just go check for updates through the system.
Depends on the town. Some of the ones in the Bible Belt? Absolutely possible. In others it’s completely possible they knew the kids were lying and decided it was fun to play along and get them to a concert.
My high school had a level of security too. The same password on every work computer in the school.
Amazingly, I never resorted to changing grades. However logging into the admin account to play games instead of the 1,358th typing class was definitely on the menu.
To be fair this is an approach that works better with continued use software. Most software that makes headlines are video games that live or die on that first purchase.
