Malgas, to science_memes in Magic π

The width of a hydrogen atom is 3.1*10^24 Planck lengths. So, yeah, 65 digits of pi ought to do it.

Malgas, to memes in anicent chinese wisdom is sometimes flawed

So is that a transcription error on my part, or is the original image nonsense?

Malgas, to memes in anicent chinese wisdom is sometimes flawed

The image is pretty blurry, but I’m seeing:

窗户己限位请勿高空抛物

Which Google translate renders as “The windows are limited. Please do not throw objects at high altitudes.” Which still seems kind of mangled, but at least resembles something potentially reasonable.

Maybe someone who actually speaks the language will show up to help us out.

Malgas, to food in Which proteins contain the most microplastics? A study of more than a dozen kinds of protein, including beef, tofu and breaded shrimp, found microplastics in nearly 90 percent of the tested samples

Tofu is not exactly unprocessed.

Also is “minimally processed” more or less processed than “fresh caught”? I would assume more, but both pollack and Key West shrimp have the minimally processed version below the fresh caught version on this graph. (While White Gulf shrimp is the other way around and a much wider spread.)

Malgas, to memes in WD-40 and some tape are the only tools you need in this life.

I’m pretty fond of “unscheduled lithobraking” (it crashed).

Malgas, to science_memes in mentally unbalanced behaviour

Why did you build a death ray?

To take over the world.

No, I mean, what mad hypothesis are you testing? Are you just making mad observations?

Look, I’m just trying to take over the world. That’s all.

You’re at least going to leave some of the world as a mad control group, right?

Sad fact: most “mad scientists” are actually mad engineers.

(Borrowed from a Cowbirds in Love strip which at the time of this writing is inaccessible.)

Malgas, to science_memes in Peace is possible.

I’m pretty sure it’s a ∂ lying on its front.

Malgas, to science_memes in "Earth-like"

You don’t even have to go very far back to hit a time when scientists were called “natural philosophers”.

Malgas, to science_memes in For real this time, NSF, I swear it's the last time.
Malgas, to memes in Cat sith

It annoys me that hardly any of Dresden’s needling of Cat Sith works when spoken aloud.

(Because that “sith” is pronounced “shee”; it’s the Scottish spelling of “sidhe”.)

Malgas, to risa in With all due respect, Captain, I am the head of Starfleet IT, and I have it on good authority that if you try to replicate a replicator, you can break the space time continuum.

Or replicate the parts needed to assemble an exact copy.
