MaxHardwood,

I think they look really cool. I can’t get the rage about a friggin’ giant electricity producing machine but they’re fine with billboards everywhere.

MaxHardwood,

I dunno what you guys are doing that makes your nextcloud die without touching it

Mine runs happily until I decide to update it

MaxHardwood,

Hardware problems are an entirely different issue.

Literally the biggest issue

MaxHardwood,

It’s “Fanatical Domain” but I like your definition better

MaxHardwood,

Yeah but you got like 22 episodes each season. One season of TNG is like half of the entire run of Discovery.

MaxHardwood,

Protip for anybody who carries condoms:

The typical condom should ideally be kept for less than an hour in your wallet, pocket, or purse.

Condoms that are constantly moved or rubbed against each other can cause wear and tear, making them less effective. Extreme heat (around 104°F/40°C) can cause latex to become weak and sticky.

Not sure on the accuracy but it’s been good advice since at least the 90’s to not use a condom that has been kept in a wallet for more than a day.

MaxHardwood,

Naw that’s the lie they want you to believe. Tell your manager to fuck off; you’ll never see them again.

MaxHardwood,

It really doesn’t matter at all. You’re quitting. You already have a new job lined up. You will never interact with these people again. Nobody asks for references outside of minimum wage positions unless they’re a small shop.

MaxHardwood, (edited )

This is a shit-tier post. Why hide the relevant information that’s 2 sentences long?

Relevant information:

Better integration with Steam. By default the Steam Deck uses KDE as the desktop mode. This inherently means it receives updates from Valve in terms of desktop related fixes, and they are actively working with KDE developers to bring updates to KDE (reddit.com/…/is_there_any_cooperation_with_valve_…)

MaxHardwood,

They give them away for free in the bins near the exit. They also have dowels and screws and stuff that gets left out of the packaging some times.

MaxHardwood,

Fine art is valued for taxation and insurance purposes

MaxHardwood,

Renting (at sane rates that allow saving up a down payment) is a pathway to ownership.

As opposed to what? You’re either living with somebody for free or you’re homeless if not currently renting or owning.

MaxHardwood,

Prophecies require explicit parameters. Anything else is ad-hoc and you can fit nearly anything to be a prophecy after the fact.

MaxHardwood,

Should have laughed if this was a corporate device. They ignored the continuous popups for too long and was forced into compliance at an inconvenient time because they couldn’t be bothered to reboot at the end of the day for likely 2 weeks.

MaxHardwood,

Local stores that were profiting off their customers and not giving back to the community lose 30% of their customers who weren’t benefiting in any way from a local store to more affordable options when available? Wow

MaxHardwood,

It’s blaming people that go into thrift stores looking for items to immediately flip for profit online, depriving the community of needed material resources at an affordable price.

MaxHardwood,

That’s the point though. The profits don’t go to locals, they stay within the owner’s for their second cottage and new boat. Very rarely do local stores actually benefit anybody other than themselves.

MaxHardwood,

It used to be like that

You’re right, about 100 years ago it did used to be like that. Local banks aren’t a thing anymore. While Co-op banking institutions are better for the local community, they’re also investing in options outside the local community, further depleting the resources of the 30% of customers who shop at more affordable locations

MaxHardwood,

We waited leap-years. If it’s right the ceremony doesn’t matter
