What stops you from returning them in the situations in which you don’t?

I am assuming it’s got something to do with your bones.

Neil, to lemmyshitpost in You know how bad it needs to be to be ignored for over 2 decades!

That’s probably the best microwave dinner left on the planet if it doesn’t have freezer burn.

Neil, to asklemmy in If the human body didn't heal itself, how'd you be doing rn?
@Neil@lemmy.ml avatar

I don’t remember it, but my dad and I were going down a slide together when I was a toddler and he accidentally rolled over me and broke my leg, lol. I was only one at the time, apparently. I suppose I would’ve died then without any healing.

Ah, gotcha. I have to agree with the other person that responded to you. The type of recovery I’m talking about happened several years after being barefoot near 24/7. The foot shape actually changes, the muscles get stronger, skin gets thicker, etc.

A week going barefoot in a hostile environment with already damaged feet would just make them worse, like in your case.

What happened to you? Just curious and don’t want to disregard your experience. It helped me immensely.

Perpetually barefoot person here. Your feet start to heal and become normal again after you stop wearing shoes all the time. They can withstand jumps like this.

I tried oneko for a day and wow… not my thing. Constant distraction and I didn’t get much done that day, lol. Not recommended for the work computer at least.

Neil, to linux in Ending support for Windows 10 could send 240 million computers to the landfill. Why not install Linux on them?

I work in the behavioral health field as an IT security admin and network with hospitals/health clinics all all the time. The amount of them using XP and 7 in some capacity should scare everyone. The other security admins know it’s an issue, but they just laugh it off.

I tell them if I were an immoral man, their company would be compromised just based off of that information.

That’s pretty much exactly what drove me to it, plus the excuse to get started on Wayland. Like it or not I think Wayland is the future.

I’ve been on i3 for near a decade for what it’s worth.

This new year is my year of Wayland. I’ve got Hyprland going on my new work laptop. Still using my old one with i3 for the time being since I’m too busy during the day to thinker around, but I’m slowly getting this new one ready. Hopefully will be done by the new year.
