Norgur,

HANS! ZE FLAMMENWERFER! GET IT NAOW!

Norgur,

It's a little naive to think that this was an incentive to use Linux for ppl in the first place.

Norgur,

If you see Worf and Alexander in the preroll,.you know it's gonna be a bad episode

Norgur,

Ye cannot change the laws of physics!

Norgur,

Wait... Are you telling me that actual cooperative teamwork is more important than some rank/stats/status symbol? Tryhards hate this trick!

Norgur,

They threw up large mounds of dirt to either side of the Tower and built it through those... duh!

Well, sometimes, lackluster adoption of modern technology is a boon. We must make sure.that they never discover the goon-for-hire corners of the interwebs.

Norgur,

Anyone who bashes distros hasn't really understood Linux. The fact that you can choose gives us the ability to choose the right tool for the job. Ubuntu has pushed a few weird things into the Linux world, but the distro itself is still legit.

I once did one where the screen would "crack" whenever you clicked. Like one of those desktop destroyer Minigames that were popular back then. It basically displayed an empty window in the foreground that would then load the cheap-ass crack-lines I had done in MS Paint. It was really obvious, since the program would even appear in the app shelf thingy of MacOS, yet ppl just freaked out every gawd damn time.

Norgur,

Norgur,

Oh, I've wirtten the odd prank virus for Mac in my time. Never spread them through the internet of course, but Mac users felt so secure they'd execute about anything and be terrified when the CD drive started acting up

Norgur,

No, "don't execute a file that shouldn't be an executable" is not a "Windows thing".

Norgur,

Oh dear... just smoke half the time with reversed polarity... I should not need to explain this...

Norgur,

Norgur,

Father of a 1week old with ADHD here. I have considered switching to IV nutrients every time my body went into sudden emergency shutdown from an acute lack of food and/or water for the last week...

Norgur,

Thanks mate! My wife and I always were a good team but we strengthed our bond during her pregnancy significantly, so I don't even need to look out for myself, she'll do that and vice versa. I'll send her to bed/eat/shower and take over completely to afford her that break she didn't even realize she needed and she'll do the same for me. Without this dynamic, those last days would have been immensely draining. The way things are, they've been a warm and snug experience for our little family <3

Norgur,

I tried several ways to phrase this so there would be no ambiguitiy... all sounded even weirder ;)

Norgur,

That's a rather useless contribution to the discussion. The initial argument was a line of reasoning why artificial csam might be a benefit so people can vent their otherwise harmful behavior without harming actual people. You just flat out responded "it is enabling and doesn't stop distribution". So you just responded with "no, u wrong". Care to tell us you reasons behind your stance?

Norgur,

Dude! You're doing it all wrong! Colorado TOADS are hallucinogenic, not bullfrogs! Stop slabberinf the poor insect-munchi-boiis!

Norgur,

We should at least have.added descriptions in Vulcan and Klingon.

Norgur,

See, I get when YouTube or some such are asking for some kind of payment, since transcoding and delivering all those large video files is expensive as fuck. Yet, Open subtitles delivers text. Fucking. Text. The rest is done for them for free by the users. No, folks. You ain't getting any money.

Norgur,

Louis Rossman/FUTO's YouTube app, GrayJay, now supports Sponsorblock... and shames you if you use it

Seriously this was very surprising. I’ve been experimenting with GrayJay since it was announced and I largely think it’s a pretty sweet app. I know there are concerns over how it isn’t “true open source” but it’s a hell of a lot more open than ReVanced. Plus, I like the general design and philosophy of the app....

Norgur,

Since the app has ties to creators, I get why they disapprove of sponsorblock, but... Why did they implement it if they don't like it?
