Maybe, but swappable =/= replaceable, in my opinion. I could be wrong, but I’m not sure that EU legislation says that phone batteries should be swappable, only replaceable

I do and it’s perfect.

why use the biggest one available

Because the biggest are often the top models and at the time that I bought this one, my job required a powerful mobile. The battery bypass feature, exclusive to the S23U, alone made it a non-choice.

You’re making a lot of assumptions in your comment about me, what my workload on a mobile is, and my own tastes.

Not only that, but he even made a video specifically elaborating on when and why he was leaving.

Better comparison would’ve been Sam O’Nella

Am I the only one who wishes North Korea would build Terminators?

I gotta ask, am I the only one here who’s absolutely fucking salivating at the thought of North Korea unleashing a legion of AI-powered Terminators on the world stage? I mean, think about it: North Korea creating a fucking army of Skynet-level robots that could march into Seoul or Tokyo or even Washington DC and just start...

Makita is honestly the way to go if you really work in the trades. The extreme top-range specs of DeWalt or Milwaukee’s tools could (and should, IMO) be easily surpassed with a cheap corded tool.

I don’t know how it is in Europe, but Bosch tools here are incredibly hit-or-miss between products. A driver might last five years but a jigsaw only a few weeks. I don’t know of they contract out more work than other cordless makers, but I’ve never known a major brand to have as big of a quality gradient as them.

You don’t know the half of the toolbox dick-measring contest that goes on at jobsites.

Redneck here. Fuck Trump and fuck you for thinking I support him.

Hope this helps.

This is a big point. I briefly took a job in Northern California two years ago and met more openly-racist bigots and transphobes than I ever met in my Appalachian hometown

I think a good driving song should be light, energetic, happy, and remind me of summer. It’s way too hard to pick just one track but any song off the album Love it Love it by Nana Grizol is always a good one.

Please drink some water and get back to us. You seem like you’re really struggling with something but to be honest I have no clue what it is.

Plenty of people. Probably the most substantial recent controversy I can think of was when he called out a comedian for an anti-Christianity joke while judging Last Comic Standing. I understand his explanation for why he did it but that doesn’t mean it didn’t get misinterpreted. Like most of Norm’s controversies, I think he was a victim of his own intellect and nuance, and for assuming that other people were as capable of critical thinking as him.

I’m a bit confused by what you mean here. But I’m gonna agree with the other person and say that “double plus good” wouldn’t be taken as a compliment to most people. It could easily be interpreted as “what you’ve said is something The Party would agree with.”

PP_BOY_,
@PP_BOY_@lemmy.world avatar

The phrase is taken from George Orwell’s 1984 and comes from the authoritarian The Party’s “Newspeak,” which is a language developed to control interpersonal communication through simplification and ommittance. It’s a super cool concept but I’ve also little idea about what specifically OP is asking

PP_BOY_,
@PP_BOY_@lemmy.world avatar

Can’t say much about liberalism or capitalism, but classic Conservatism’s emphasis on environmental conservation has always been something I appreciate. It goes to show how far the quote-unquote "G"OP has strayed from its party’s original beliefs.

I’ve owned probably 20 cars in my life, everything from 1951 to a 2012. That being said, my absolute favorite is my 1965 Volvo P1800 (not my pic, but same color, minus the hood which is rusted). What a joy to own, drive, and talk about with other car people

I know it’s a cute photo but please don’t encourage two non-social reptiles to interact

how similar are other North American countries to USA??

I mean the other 2 countries, Canada and Mexico, how similar are both of them to United States?? Both countries have a similar economy and democracy etc, and I think those two countries share things like supermarkets, stores, etc. I suppose the cultural differences are not a lot, that is very nice.

PP_BOY_,
@PP_BOY_@lemmy.world avatar

The United States isn’t even similar to the United States

There are literally so many “genres” of photography that are better than yet another flavor of shitty celebrity worship
