Maybe, but swappable =/= replaceable, in my opinion. I could be wrong, but I’m not sure that EU legislation says that phone batteries should be swappable, only replaceable

Less of a feature and more of a design, but I miss phones being small. The iPhone 4S was the perfect physical size IMO and that thing looks tiny compared to my fuckhuge S23U. The physical bloat of the past 5 Galaxys is why I’ve decided not to go with Samsung for my next mobile

PP_BOY_,
@PP_BOY_@lemmy.world avatar

I do and it’s perfect.

why use the biggest one available

Because the biggest are often the top models and at the time that I bought this one, my job required a powerful mobile. The battery bypass feature, exclusive to the S23U, alone made it a non-choice.

You’re making a lot of assumptions in your comment about me, what my workload on a mobile is, and my own tastes.

I find it hard to believe that there’s any overlap on the Venn Diagram between people technologically literate to use the Fediverse and people who still use Chrome. I’m always shocked to see posts like this. For OP, join us

I think a good driving song should be light, energetic, happy, and remind me of summer. It’s way too hard to pick just one track but any song off the album Love it Love it by Nana Grizol is always a good one.

Plenty of people. Probably the most substantial recent controversy I can think of was when he called out a comedian for an anti-Christianity joke while judging Last Comic Standing. I understand his explanation for why he did it but that doesn’t mean it didn’t get misinterpreted. Like most of Norm’s controversies, I think he was a victim of his own intellect and nuance, and for assuming that other people were as capable of critical thinking as him.

Can’t say much about liberalism or capitalism, but classic Conservatism’s emphasis on environmental conservation has always been something I appreciate. It goes to show how far the quote-unquote "G"OP has strayed from its party’s original beliefs.

There are definitely more economic options, but I lucked out with a cheap i7 Intel NUC a few years ago that’s had no problem running any of my Plex streams. Might be worth checking out

Architecture. It’s something that has always fascinated me but I’ve never committed any real study hours to it

I mean it’s a funny meme, but philosophers have been debating about which of these is the better option for millenia. It isn’t like the general consensus is that living in that living in the Matrix was preferable

PP_BOY_,

Haha typo. I meant to say it isn’t the general consensus that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that living in that livi

Americans thinking that Europeans don’t own cars is almost as dumb as Europeans thinking Americans never walk anywhere.

I’m glad that you’ve found a routine to help you floss but reading this made my whole body shiver. Do you floss while you’re driving? And what do you do with the floss picker when you’re done???

PP_BOY_,

I dont think you’re making the point you think you are by posting this to Lemmy Shitpost lol

True but unfortunately his pants were 2% elastane so he will, in fact, still be going to hell

PP_BOY_,
@PP_BOY_@lemmy.world avatar

Well, Mozart was a composer, so I don’t know what parallels you’re drawing from to compare hin to Weird Al or Surfan [sic] Stevens. If we’re talking strictly in terms of best living musicians, Joanna Newsom is probably the best songwriter of the past fifty years, and in my opinion, the second place isn’t even close.

how are they so good.

Western production “profit worship” systems are literally incompatible with making good products. Toyota has refused to cave to western pressure of creating plastic, planned-obsolescant quote unquote cars.

PP_BOY_,
@PP_BOY_@lemmy.world avatar

If you go to a Toyota group and tell them your car lasted 300k miles they’d ask what you did to kill it so early

Please show me one (1) report from the last twenty years that doesn’t put Toyota/Lexus in the top for reliability or maintenance costs

If you’re saving up five grand for months for what I presume is your only car, you’d be a fool to not get the best one you could buy - a Toyota. After that, knock yourself out with whatever projects you want. My Corolla was the first car i ever bought myself and will probably be the last one i own after selling/trading the others.
