ParsnipWitch,

What kind of perspective does one need to have to believe it is good when there are no resources (money, people) to care for the elderly?

ParsnipWitch, (edited )

For example that Gaza is overcrowded not because Israel made it so, but because on average people in Gaza have 5+ children.

ParsnipWitch, (edited )

You believe that anyone who says it is not genocide is fine with people killing Palestinians?

So you are fine with murdering people as long as it is not genocide?

ParsnipWitch,

This is a great resource and post! I feel bad for commenting already but I can’t help it.

OpenSuse is missing and, this is of course personal opinion, but I think Debian is a great distro for beginners.

Also OpenSuse can be great for beginners. Though not as much as Debian.

ParsnipWitch,

Do you mean the settlements in the Westbank?

ParsnipWitch,

So instead we should genocide Israelis or what is your suggestion?

ParsnipWitch,

Yeah, that’s not my experience at all. Men say they want a girlfriend / wife talking about stuff like that, but it’s just not how they choose their partners.

ParsnipWitch,

What are you talking about? Of course these type of buildings have landlords.

ParsnipWitch,

How do they not look like rental homes? We have similar building in Germany. They are mostly build by companies and smaller versions of these homes are even build by private people. Because like this you can maximize profit on your property.

ParsnipWitch,

No they weren’t built to give “the workers more power”. You still have landlords and sometimes hefty prices on these apartments. Depending on the country/city.

ParsnipWitch,

Currently I try to decide between New World and Guild Wars 2. Can’t play both but not sure which to pick …

ParsnipWitch,

Also fits the sexist views many people on Lemmy seem to have.

ParsnipWitch,

No, but this is an opinion:

literally any statement based on morality is an opinion.

ParsnipWitch,

That’s an opinion, though. Not a fact. It’s actually just one theory in ethics.

ParsnipWitch,

Perhaps you should read about more about the different theories surrounding whether morality is always objective “as a fact”.

ParsnipWitch,

I believe in some situations the other person doesn’t really have a choice other than to keep arguing. For example when the person they are arguing with tries to deny them basic human rights.

I can’t “agree to disagree” if someone has the opinion that I shouldn’t live, shouldn’t be free, shouldn’t be allowed to voice my opinion, etc.

ParsnipWitch,

I don’t understand how this makes the problem less one-sided.

When an individual thinks abusive and stupid things about a group of people, it’s that’s individuals responsibility and issue.

That doesn’t change just because you can maybe find a person who prefers you thinking stupid and abusive shit.

ParsnipWitch,

Perhaps you think too low of yourself? There will always be people who will prefer you to think this or that. Your parents, some dickhead politicians, your peers, … You don’t need everybody to like what you think.

ParsnipWitch,

That’s the Belgian flag. But don’t worry, they are so rare and tiny, that it doesn’t make a difference. We eat more Pommes in Germany anyway!
