For its own sake, no. Unless I happen to be doing something I intrinsically enjoy that happens to give me exercise, I hate it every time. I need some really motivating tunes otherwise, and they wear out fast after a few listens.

My daily reddit use has dropped by an order of magnitude. Now I just subscribe to a few subreddit RSS feeds that I skim through once a day, and that’s pretty much it. If I really feel compelled to post something, I’ll begrudgingly grab my laptop and head to old.reddit … we’ll see how long that lasts.

No, you misunderstand. You’re thinking of DHCP. The parent poster is talking about CGNAT, where hundreds or thousands of customers of an ISP may share the same public-facing IPv4 address. It’s impossible to self-host anything in this scenario, there no way around it and DDNS won’t help you.
