You forgot the most important pod of them all.

Escape pods.

Why spend money on a timpani when you can hire an elephant? It’s also 99% less ear damaging.

It’s a thumb that sticks drums to turkeys.

I thought I was the only Moroccan on Lemmy.

I also live in an area that doesn’t get served by the Al Boraq. We don’t have trains in general over here and I am jealous.

I also learned about the Al Boraq’s existence the hard way, because in the summer of 2022, my family had to drive me from Casablanca to Tangier and back by car, which took us like 3 hours on one trip.

I imagine myself completely exploding after about a week of not shitting. It’s still gonna make a shitty mess everywhere.

The fact that we aren’t allowed to celebrate it in my country. It’s seen as unimportant. In fact, we don’t ever have Christmas breaks. I saw school buses packed with students heading to class today (and yesterday too), some are even taking exams. Radio stations play absolutely no Christmas music. Nothing in the country is decorated for Christmas. Life goes on as usual as if Christmas doesn’t exist.

This video by Gari Sullivan perfectly explains how life is for us. Yes, it’s 2 years old already, but I doubt that it’s that irrelevant.

His name is Koffing because the way that guy is holding him makes him look like he’s actually coughing.

Get a Slimbook. They’re good laptops, and they let you choose which Linux distro is installed out the box.

There’s even a KDE version if their Plasma desktop environment is your cup of tea.

I think you meant “least valuable”, because they’re garbage.

I want downvotes too, you know.

Yep, today is 2023, November 22.

Someone should make this an alternative date format in English, it looks and works really well.

In my case, I use it completely logged out now.

It’s better than Windows if you like having products all made by the same company

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. 2013 is the worst year ever.

I actually never thought of that

Read it backwards and you’ll see why I called it that

Uluhyensid sounds like a great choice.

Oh wait, it’s really expensive? No thanks.

It’s simple: this little shit just felt like not living in water anymore

Try turning this into an emoji, Apple. Oh wait, you can’t, because I made it up. (Idea may be thought of by someone else before)

That’s actually kinda awesome.

Windows XP: when you buy your computer yesterday it’s still too old for Vista.

What's an alternative to Spotify that doesn't play you the same fucking songs over and over?

I am in an intense love-hate relationship with Spotify. It makes good mixes for me, I have found a lot of great bands that way. BUT IT KEEPS REGURGITATING THE SAME SONGS IN THERE. I know about Song Radios and Artist Radios, so please don’t recommend those. Smart Shuttle doesn’t cut it, either....

It’s also got actual radio stations. This is how I found out about Studio Brussel.

I still have yet to figure out why nobody does remakes like HeartGold and SoulSilver anymore.

Resol,
@Resol@lemmy.world avatar

These are considered to be the best Pokémon remakes of all time, which were released in 2009 (approximately 10 years after the original Gold and Silver releases for the Game Boy)

When I look at modern remakes of films, video games, sometimes even TV shows, it just seems that all the magic is somehow sucked out of it. I never understood why.
