specific instance’s version of a post

Actually, no. OP is just a Lemmy.world user so the post exists on Lemmy.world server despite being posted to lemmy.ml.
You’ll find that if your client is properly written, it’ll send you to the appropriate post on Lemmy.ml regardless.
For example here’s one of your posts :
lemmy.keychat.org/post/799992 which exists on lemmy.keychat.org despite being posted to lemmy.world. This is just how Lemmy’s federation works in it’s current state, your post isn’t being duplicated to the other servers but rather hyperlinked in way.
Unfortunately, my client prefers direct post links and not the indirect hyperlinks shared with the federated server.

Also, you have to link posts as Lemmy lacks any real unified coss-post functionality currently.

Work on your reading comprehension skills ◉‿◉

There’s a big difference between Working on vs is working. They’re Working on a full port, other than that you have preliminary access that’s not intended for casual users; only developers, tinkers/enthusiast & testers.

This design document is intended for Xfce developers to begin brainstorming ideas for future development. This is a work in progress and does not imply any future implementation commitments.

Should’ve been your first hint.

Exactly what I’m saying. It has nothing to do with his mental disorders, it’s purely social influence from the cybercriminal ring and egotism.
He desires to be seen as a legend and the members of Lapsus$ are no doubt going to be praising the hell out of him for pulling off something so audacious.

OP is making it out to be like he has psychopathy or ASPD or some shit, which is not a diagnosis that’s publicly known at this time even if that were the case. I’d rather not make massive generalizations of someone based on something that has 0 backing too.
The only disorder we know he’s diagnosed with is acute autism and nothing else, which just as you said :

It could be something as simple as needing to feel powerful in their space. That’s something a lot of people, autistic or not, can fall prey to

Which is exactly the point I’m making.

[Discussion] How do you feel about age verification on Porn sites? (lemmings.world)

Porn sites Pornhub, XVideos, and Stripchat face stricter requirements to verify the ages of their users after being officially designated as “Very Large Online Platforms” (VLOPs) under the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA)....

I already mentioned that in my post.

You literally walk a block in NYC and see titties.
There’s a lot more extreme content out there.

All he did was repeat shit that we’ve known for years in the most sensationalist way possible so he could get a fucking profit of a clickbait article.
He’s a “journalist”, wtf do you expect. This is his entire deal; repeat already well known shit, sprinkle in some sensational nonsense, do zero due diligence as a journalist and use the most clickbait title possible for profit.
I’m sorry, but his shit always reads like an AI wrote more than half of it, and when he won’t even ask the people involved like he’s supposed to as a journalist, he’s bringing nothing new whatsoever, only speculation and sensationalism.
That’s all there is to it.

Run command as not-root

Hi everyone

At work, I have to run a command in an AWS instance. In that particular instance only exists the root user. The command should not be executed with root privileges (it executes mpirun, which is not recommended to run as sudo or the machine might break), so I was wondering if there is a way to block or disable the sudo privileges while the command is running. As mentioned, the only user existing there is root, so I suppose "sudo -u" is not an option.

Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks in advance!

There’s a source that says something about using the AWS Systems Manager Session Manager by ““Configuring the necessary IAM permissions for your user or role to access the instance using Session Manager 1
Open the AWS Systems Manager console, navigate to the “Session Manager” page, and select the instance you want to access
Click on the “Start session” button to initiate the session with the instance.
Once the session is established, you can run commands as the root user without the need for sudo””
I’m unsure if this achieves exactly what you need though.
