@nodimetotie Pretty much any topic that I enjoy, I try and add a new post when I subscribe to it and see if people are just waiting for new posts.

@GreyTechnician So there are many things that can get your website visited, One of them being, is the site readable as well as easy to understand there's no point of trying to get people to view your site if they come to pink text on a bright green background.

Other parts include trying to get your links on as many sites as possible, this grounds your website on the web a lot more and can be done via socials for the site or your own personal one just sending a 'hey a new blog post is out, it's about X' to your normal socials.

The site also needs to bring value to people, why should they come to your site other any other, if it's a blog what can't they get from a news source or another person's blog?

Load times, load times are key when it comes to after the click, if the site takes over 2 seconds to load most people will just not bother so make sure you have it optimised.

Use Images, Videos or anything that could further the experience of doing the blog, not everyone wants to just read a wall of text and making colours and things be apart of the blog can bring character as well as help with people understand what you are saying.

Make sure your site can be found from search terms on not only Google but Bing and other search engines.

I normally go to NEW as it allows me to find stuff I haven't found.

The Fediverse can only grow, I'm glad that it mostly seems to work the only problem I have is that on smaller instances you can't see the history of non-hosted communities as well as you have to add each community to the instance what is hard to find without using certain communities or just checking another instance.

It's probably due to the selecting 'Most Popular' meaning that it only finds the most upvoted thing on the instance. Instances as well as the Fediverse have grown so much adding more and more content over time but that does not always mean that everyone sees that one meme anymore making more modern posts have less traction. (At least from what I can think)

@Jonas_Jones Probably but who can blame them it runs really slow even on a 2080
