SendMePhotos,

Wasn’t a fan of Ubuntu, RedHat, Debían…

I guess I’m just a Fedora person? I’m on KDE right now, usually Xfce. Idk I’m enjoying my KDE experience.

Mint was pretty smooth. No complaints.

SendMePhotos,

Rofl. I didn’t even notice because I’m old.

SendMePhotos,

I like the smell of the softener. Tbh I never even considered that fabric softener… Softened fabric… In my head fabric softener = good smelly conditioner.

One day my SO and I were bickering and I was asked what is the point of fabric softener. I said for it to smell good. And they said it was to soften the fabric. Oops.

SendMePhotos,

Windows 11 is my stopping point. I will use windows 10 until end of life (either myself or the os). BUT knowing windows every other os, the next one after w11 should be OK. Time will tell.

SendMePhotos,

… Are you not supposed to?

SendMePhotos,

But pom can also rhyme with palm. Same female vowel. 😂🙃

SendMePhotos,

Dude this ended up being one of my favorites. It is crude humor and just a blast to watch. The character development is there and the story progress is fantastic to watch unfold. It was surprisingly delightful in all aspects.

SendMePhotos,

Plus… Underwear is until un equipped. Imagine about to get sexy time and you need to take them off. Lots of vomit will suddenly appear.

It's funny how google pretends the music on YouTube isn't straight up piracy and everyone just goes along with it

Most people have extremely weird ideas of what’s considered piracy and what isn’t. Downloading a video game rom is piracy, but if you pay money to some Chinese retailer for an SD card containing the roms, that’s somehow not piracy. Exploiting the free trial on a streaming site by using prepaid visa cards is somehow not...

SendMePhotos,

You fucking monster! Just put me to death.

SendMePhotos,

I’m guessing here, but it could be the feel of direct control and accomplishment. If it goes out, you can fix it. If you adjust it, you control it.

Manual transmission gives you that feeling of complete control of the vehicle. If you keep it in 2nd, it stays in 2nd. Whereas drifting around in an automatic is possible, the feeling isn’t the same. If you exceed the limited rpm, the system kicks in and shifts to 3rd.

It’s more of a pride/accomplishment/feeling than a fact. The fact is, automatic vehicles are more efficient in most cases. But people (myself included) prefer manuals for the feeling of control.

Maybe that’s the same with your uncle and his knowledge and skill.

There’s a few articles out there. A search on Google scholar might show some more results but I just clicked one of the first ones for, “automatic vs manual transmission efficiency”

To the driver, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) operates a lot like an automatic. You don’t have to operate a clutch, and you simply put the car in drive to go. Unlike manuals and automatics, however, CVTs have infinite combinations of gear ratios. What that means is that a CVT can always send power to the wheels from the engine in the most fuel-efficient way possible.

Are today’s manual transmission cars more efficient than automatics?

At least based on fuel efficiency, an up to date automatic will be more fuel efficient. A manual will always be more fun and have a place in my heart.

SendMePhotos,

I was using it as a comparison is all. But thanks because I actually don’t know much about the ignition portions.

how similar are other North American countries to USA??

I mean the other 2 countries, Canada and Mexico, how similar are both of them to United States?? Both countries have a similar economy and democracy etc, and I think those two countries share things like supermarkets, stores, etc. I suppose the cultural differences are not a lot, that is very nice.

SendMePhotos,

I’ve seen so many creative names here, I love it. Flying squid?! Picard maneuver?! What else is there?!

SendMePhotos,

I like olive garden… I only go like once every few years but I’ve never not enjoyed it.

Can anyone else feel sensations in their brain?

Last time I checked there aren’t nerve endings in our brain, so it should be impossible to feel sensations in my brain. However, at random times during my life, like seeing the plot twist in Fight Club for example, I’ve felt feelings in my brain. I just felt it again now while doing some intense introspection, and I just...

SendMePhotos,

I get a specific feeling in my head when I’m about to start a panic or anxiety attack. It’s at that moment where I can usually just like… Take a breath, relax, and try to avoid the issue calling it or I succumb and deal with it. I get the warning feeling in my brain though.

In other physical things, I can slow down or accelerate my heartbeat on demand and I’ve shown my SO when we were messing with a heart rate monitor. I can also make my heartbeat skip on demand but stopped that after I scared the shit out of an ex when I showed them. Also the doctor told me don’t do that anymore after I told her it was a thing.

SendMePhotos,

Judge me. Here are some names I can think of:

  • Connect (or some dumb spelling like connekt because it’s trendy)
  • SocCenter (social center)
  • Open Doors (or some variant)

I’m out of ideas.

SendMePhotos,

I see… Try as I might, I cannot unsee.

SendMePhotos,

… Alright I’ll bite. What’s the first?
