You’re paying for the content in the case of the newspapers. It is a similar cost to print on newsprint as to run a website. It saves them no money. Most of what you are paying for is for the journalism, writing, editing, etc. Content costs money.
What if belief results in creation? Why would I want to believe in this Lovecraftian noodle-god, when the very act of belief might spawn this horror into our universe? Our only protection is disbelief.
Mold is a fungus. Same group as mushrooms, yeast, etc. Some mushrooms are edible and delicious. So are some molds. The mold in blue cheese is not the same as the kind that makes food inedible.
Looking at the two big news publishers in my country. One isn’t reporting about the current bombings at all, while the other one is phrasing their words mostly anti-Palestinian....
Just remember as you read news, these are inherently biased sources. Basically all of them are. Look at who they are citing to understand how bias might affect the information being relayed to you. For example, if Hamas or Gaza Authorities are saying something, it is probably coming from a pro Hamas perspective, if IDF or Israeli authorities are saying something, probably comes with some bias too. This is true of all news, all the time. The spin is real. Anyone claiming a lack of spin are probably the biggest spinners of bullshit. It sucks that to be well informed you have to be able to be literate not only in the language but also how to read journalism itself. But that’s the reality.
Everything hurting for no discernable reason isn’t normal at your age. The difference between your 20s and 30s is that in your 20s you don’t need to do anything to not hurt. In your 30s and beyond you’re gonna need to start taking care of yourself in order to not hurt. The pain is your body telling you something is wrong. Could be sleep apnea, hypertension, lack of activity or not enough recovery after activity. Again though, pain all the time for no reason isn’t actually normal until much later in life.
Oh man, staple crops are subsidized waaaaaayyy more heavily than beef. Some of this grain goes to the beef industry as feed, so it is indirectly supported by taxes. But the reality is that the soy, barley, beans, or whatever else is in that veggie burger are subsidized directly and more extensively.
