Starglasses,

Seems like you have to have strong connections through networking. Sounds familiar.

Starglasses,

I came here to understand and also understand less now haha

Starglasses, (edited )

You are agreeing? Tone on the internet is lost to me.

The post you replied to is saying that ads can’t “just not be looked at”.

Same with nudity. You can’t just not look at it. You didn’t even know it was there.

Starglasses, (edited )

Oh ok. I can see that perspective now. Thanks for explaining it to me.

Edit: and upon re-reading the comment several times, I can see that exactly.

Without tone the same sentence can go anywhere.

Starglasses,

I know about The Light Fantastic and The Color of Magic (did i mix those two up?) But there’s more?

It’s crazy whats out there that you want but you never thought to look.

Starglasses, (edited )

Oh ok! I see that it’s almost exactly like what I said about bandaid on a decapitation… ok it can’t temporarily fix that, but lol. I get it :)

It’s not fixing the broken glass, just covering it up

Omg I once accidentally kidnapped my neighbor’s cat for 3 days. My cat got out and this one looked exactly the same (only had my cat for a few weeks at that point. I couldn’t discern differences yet). I wondered why he kept meowing at the window.

I’m embarrassed it took 3 days to realize that wasn’t my cat. We let it out and I’m sure the real owners were relieved 😅😳🤡

(My guy never returned 😔)

Starglasses,

“You got enjoyment out of something I didn’t? Loser.”

??? Why

Starglasses,

So that means teenage-me helped discover DNA? Heck yea 🤘

Starglasses,

“Dying human hair is totally fine. Why not pet hair?”

The logic is sound enough for most people. Learning that it is not like that isn’t taught in schools. Just because someone knows that doesn’t mean everyone does.

It sucks, but being critical of those that do things harmful like they are stupid for not knowing is not as effective as being kind and teaching that it is harmful.

We all have to learn everything we know. So do strangers.

Starglasses,

I clicked it because what kind of NSFW does NASA produce? My Curiosity Rover got tricked!

Starglasses,

Roll with Dracula too! People have dirty fantasies about sleeping with vampires, after all.

Starglasses,

Gotta show people their opinions are compliments to you no matter what!

If someone calls you He-man, do the pose, declare the motto, be proud. Use the men’s line lol. Turn into a positive experience :)

but owning and properly maintaining a home requires a ton of work and money.

It doesn’t. Not at all.

Dude, there’s a plumbing problem. You call a plumber. Dialing that number and talking for 10 minutes was not hard work.

Even if you physically are doing the fixing, which would be in the ‘hard work’ category, you are not there 9-5, 5 days a week for most of the year.

Landlords even pay people to manage their properties. Now they only have one expense a month, the managers pay. With auto-pay from banks, now they don’t have to think about that. Zero work at all. They can sit on their ass while their bank account goes up. Their tenants working 40 hour weeks and much of their pay goes to this person that is not doing anything to help them. The property manager takes care of all that. He doesn’t have to contribute at all.

Starglasses, (edited )

Is that a space laundromat?

Also, I also have no idea what this meme is. It’s funny in its absurdity, but I think it’s supposed to be a level funnier that idk

Starglasses,

It took me a good minute. Got a real good laugh!!

Starglasses,

You say you don’t think the issue is that people don’t know then immediately begin with “they don’t understand…”

What’s the difference?

Starglasses,

Not understanding is the same as not knowing. I know that a car pollutes the environment but I don’t understand just how much. I don’t know the info.

Starglasses,

And don’t understand the extent of its impact.

Starglasses,

Would you have liked Scrubs 2.0 if it was a spin-off?

I enjoyed it.

Starglasses,

I can’t choose favorites, so the last great TV show I watched was Superstore. Loved it!

Starglasses,

I agree. It was a totally different setting with a massive change in cast. But I liked it a lot. I forget most of it, but I remember looking forward to the blonde ‘dry serious/crying in the shower’ student. I liked her dynamic.
