And yea RvR wouldn’t mesh well with a shooter. Guild Wars 2 had it, I think Elder Scrolls Online had it, but that game didn’t hold my attention very long, so might be thinking of something else. Anywho, it’s more a traditional-style MMO thing, and not super common even among them.
I’ve never really paid any attention to Warframe, but just youtubed it. Kinda intrigued. How’s the co-op? One of the reasons I wanted an MMO is that a friend of mine is in the same boat looking for something new. We tried Elden Ring hearing that it was co-op, but ER’s co-op is little temporary instances of pulling another player into your world - you can’t actually progress together. The content I’ve seen so far on Warframe looks very single-player oriented, and ER has given me trust issues with things like that, lol.
RvR is realm vs realm. Sometimes it’s called WvW for World vs World. Basically it’s large scale siege style combat - you and like 50 other players from your server are attacking or defending objectives sought by another server, so you get 100+ players clashing in pure chaos. It’s a good time when it’s done right.
My surgeon seemed super pumped that I got this type of fracture. Apparently you have to twist your ankle in a very specific way to get a fracture like this. He told me all about it and he was so enthusiastic. He got even more excited when I asked him to take pics of the inside of my foot because I wanted to see it.
His enthusiasm has made the experience less terrible lol.
Surgical tech, here - those types of surgeons are an absolute blast to work with, and tend to be the most skilled.
Science and education have both become (have always been?) politicized. Certain groups are incentivized to hamstring education at every opportunity in order to keep the churches full and the voters red.
The solution… we need to get those fuckers out of power. Voting works when voting works, but that’s obstructed and gerrymandered to oblivion, so… idk, break out the ol’ guillotine and start providing some free cervical spinal decompressions to our oligarchs?
It still -kind of- does, it’s just not super intuitive anymore. Open the menu, select the tab, then just start typing your search. The text you type will appear in the text field you were typing in before opening the win+. menu, but as you type it’ll filter the emojis and symbols down to the ones that match your input, and then replace your input when you click one.
I did residential construction for a couple years, then 4 in the military, so no stranger to physical exhaustion… Insomnia hit even in those times.
The only way to predictably get a decent chunk of sleep is to kind of bank hours in the days leading up to it. Like if get 0 to maybe 3 hours per night through the work week, I’ll sleep like a baby come Saturday.
Never been on meds for it. Was afraid to report it when I was active duty (fucking stupid) and now my rating isn’t high enough to cover prescriptions and I don’t have regular health insurance so… can’t afford them. :-/
I think of it like a digital facial expression. Upvoting is akin to smiling or conveying some other positive emotion like affirmation or understanding (even if the subject matter is inherently negative). Downvote is the opposite- someone says something irl that makes you frown or grimmace, or you know they’re telling you a lie, your expression can convey that without a single word. Here, downvote.
There’s no real etiquette - if you feel like you want to give an up or down vote, just do it and don’t put too much thought into it.
