I’d say the most important bit is to get comfortable with using CLI, not learning all it’s ins and outs, but figuring out how to sudo, how to paste a command into the CLI, and how to search for what you’re trying to do.

My old flatmate would shower after every. single. shit. Which was fine in the afternoon/evening. But we got up for work at the same time, and he’d take 20mins in the shower plus 10-15 pooping. Which meant I’d have to be up an hour earlier than I needed to be to be able to poop in the morning…

Maybe for you, but I’m the one who does the dishes, if every plate and half the cups are dirty in a single day when I’ve been at work, then I’d like to know how 2 meals used 6 plates and a dozen cups.
