Toes, to asklemmy in Lemmings without bidet: how do you deal with your period?

Yeah goes in the tiny rubbish bin.

Toes, to asklemmy in what, in your opinion, drives the start time of factory and manufacturing jobs to 5am?

Where I used to live the bus that took people to the industrial section of town only went there 3 times throughout the day.

It was particularly frustrating for me cause it was the only bus to take you remotely close to the courier’s office to pickup a package. But its schedule appeared to be timed with the changes in shifts at the factory.

I have a packet of baby wipes for bad days.

Toes, (edited ) to asklemmy in What is the most user repairable robot vacuum cleaner?

Rainbow vacuum cleaners are built to last and since they don’t use a traditional grab bag you’ll never have to worry about finding replacements. But I don’t know if they got any Roomba style ones.

Toes, to asklemmy in What is a nifty little feature modern gadgets have lost?

I suspect that the magnetic feature you desire is pretty unique to the usa. Anywhere else I’ve been in the world was chip or tap. Swiping the card would throw an error to use the chip only. So that country is just really far behind.

Toes, to asklemmy in Will ublock Origin be blocked on chrome soon?💀💀💀

I believe some chromium based browsers will continue to support their own flavours of adblock.

But Firefox is the way to go

Or how they prompt you to sign up for a credit card and ask if you want the receipt as a sms.

I wonder if they will get the idea to show you a small video before you can checkout.

Toes, to asklemmy in US residents: What big domestic policy improvements have the american people won from congress in the last 30 years?

Someone tried to explain this to me once. They said that the original formulas for insulin are really cheap, it’s just the manufacturers have all agreed to only make the expensive formulas to maximize profits since it’s not in their best interest otherwise.

Toes, to asklemmy in What are some dark sides to cute super-powers ?

I think that line of reasoning will quickly become a ouroboros situation when you think about the details of cause, effect and desire.

I suppose the best outcome is the one where you’ve destroyed yourself and are replaced with a nearly identical person sans the reason you changed time and the butterfly effect of everything that stemmed from that.

At worst you’ve duplicated yourself and have a wonderful opportunity to observe yourself blissfully unaware of the reason you changed time.

But depending on which flavor of time travel used. I suspect the most likely outcome is you’ll continue doing this again and again. Something always misaligning with your goals potentially unaware that anything has already happened. Never seemingly perfect or that time becomes this window of experience looping, endless eight style.

The ability to time travel, allows you to change anything except yourself.
