Turun, to memes in Playing an unsupported file

Mp4 and mkv are container formats. Your comment is somewhat equivalent to “where are you guys getting text files that can’t be displayed, I’ve only ever seen zip files”.

The codec in the container is what needs to be played, and can fail to render correctly.

It depends, there are decent chances you’ll get the video to play from the next I frame onwards.

Humans when they see a vaguely humanoid shape in the dark: your upper picture

Humans when they are actively destroying the very basis of their existence, causing large, currently inhabited areas, to be uninhabitable in a few decades: this is fine meme, photoshopped to see the rain forest burning and cities flooding.

This is a fact. The story ends when Danaerys sails to Westeros.

Is the u pronounced? I recently learned katakana and it seems like the u variant is used to just get the consonant, i.e. if you pronounce words by leaving out the u they often match more closely to the English word than if you do pronounce the u (or to (ト), because tu doesn’t exist, it’s tsu). The two examples you gave match that thesis.

It’s surprisingly doable. If you have a free weekend you can learn all of them. Even one day may be enough if you are dedicated and a quick learner. Of course, repetition is a must if you don’t want to forget them again, but the initial investment is really not that big.

This resource suggests mnemonics which are surprisingly effective. They teach hiragana first, but it’s not a hard requirement if you want to learn katakana exclusively.

Turun, to linux in What is the state of Multiseat in Linux today?

If all you want to do is play games, then AMD is the way to go. Better price to performance ratio.

But if you want to play around with AI, Nvidia is the only game in town. AMD still does not properly support GPGPU on their consumer cards. It’s infuriating and embarrassing really.

Turun, to linuxmemes in Every god damn time!

If you want to you can just create a new subvolume, mount it temporarily and move all your files from root to there. Then you need to figure out how to make the new subvolume your root directory upon boot and you are done.

Economics is 50/50 too. It’s not in the OG set of prizes and the science is hit and miss as well.

But yeah, physics, chemistry, medicine are all prizes that highlight game changing discoveries.

I’m curious how accurate the PII is. I can generate strings of text and numbers and say that it’s a person’s name and phone number. But that doesn’t mean it’s PII. LLMs like to hallucinate a lot.

Turun, to memes in I've been robbed!

μ is not a stretch at all, it’s literally the first character of the word micro. (Mu, iota, kappa, rho, omega). Similar to how other scientific words are derived from their original language.

It doesn’t matter, most people will understand you if you write um instead of μm, because it isn’t ambiguous.

Turun, to memes in I've been robbed!

The issue is in your software that displays the capacity (most likely windows).

You bought 2 TB SSD. You got 2 TB SSD. This is equivalent to 1.8 TiB (think of it like yards and meter). Windows shows you the capacity in TiB, but writes TB next to it.

Say you buy a 2.18 yard stick. You get a 2.2 yard stick, which is equivalent to 2 meter. Windows will tell you it’s 2 yards long. Why? I don’t know.

For what it’s worth I have only ever heard the term used to describe the Linux thing. So for me that is the only meaning.
