My life is pretty great all things considered. But in about an hour I’m walking down to the local primary school to cast my ‘yes’ vote for the referendum.
So, later this evening I’ll get confirmation that nothing has changed in my country. We’re still a backwards, racist society who doesn’t give a fuck about our indigenous population.
For me, as an indigenous person who is also upper middle class and in one of the most affluent cities in the country, life is pretty good. But the same can’t be said for many others who don’t share my privilege. And my country is about to tell them, loud and clear, that they don’t care. Didn’t care 40 years ago, don’t care now.
Yeah I plateaued in my early teens. I know I’m intelligent and have a curious mind that means I read a lot, self educate etc. But I’m no smarter than my peers ever were. I was just ‘advanced’ as a kid. Meant I didn’t take schooling seriously and formed arrogance about my abilities, well before realising that they’re pretty mediocre in most things. Jack of All trades, master of none. Hold myself to ridiculous standards that I’ll never meet.
You need to wash your hair. Your hairs have tension at the scalp because of a build up of body goo preventing them laying flat. Pain goes away if you wash your scalp.
The gore dead baby photo directly under it was worse. I reported the one I saw in a different thread and I’ve blocked the user. Don’t need to see that again.
Genuinely feel for people who have to spend time in enclosed spaces with you.
Congratulations for winning the genetic lottery with the robustness of your teeth, but brushing is also about hygiene. Body odour isn’t physically bad for you, but it is for everyone who has to be near you. Same with your breath.
