Not only that, but there’s a higher chance of the detector lying than the Sun supernova-ing, so it’s probably a false positive. Yes I did just read some paragraphs from 3–4 Wikipedia articles.

@callyral@pawb.social avatar

literally 2 days ago i tried installing gentoo in a vm but gave up because it would take too long to compile… and now this??? guess my timing was pretty bad

if i did use gentoo, i’d probably compile smaller programs from source and bigger things like kernel and web browser i would use as binaries.

does this protocol work for other terminals? such as alacritty, foot, urxvt, or even st (with appropriate patch ofc)?

Any text editor that lets you write Markdown (all of them, since markdown can be written as a plain text file). It’s simple but featureful. I would recommend Marktext.

Key chords/submodes? Not a desktop app, but an Emacs extension, Hydra. There’s also a Neovim version.

I don’t know of a desktop app, personally I like to keep my desktop keybinds simple, so I wouldn’t really need that.

There are two kinds of people:

You don’t have the features “auto-allocate-uids” and “configurable-impure-env” enabled, so “auto-allocate-uids” and “impure-env” options are ignored in your config.

swww (wayland only)

never tried it (i don’t use animated wallpapers) but it seems pretty good, not sure if it works on non-wlroots like KDE or GNOME

callyral, to linux in What distros have you tried and thought, "Nope, this one's not for me"?
@callyral@pawb.social avatar

Manjaro. Probably because I tried it with GNOME which isn’t for me either.

I use Void Linux glibc, I wouldn’t daily drive musl either, although there are ways to run glibc apps.

Yeah, I used Artix and Arch for a while, but I switched to Void a few months ago and I like it better.

Minecraft works perfectly fine, pretty sure it runs natively on Linux actually.

callyral, to linux in Why do you use the terminal?
@callyral@pawb.social avatar

Not having to go through a bunch menus to do stuff, not using the mouse, having –help for commands…

Or just for simplicity. For example, I use simple commands to manage my files: mv, cp, ls, rm, mkdir, etc.

There’s also Neovim, my preferred editor, which runs on the terminal.

I prefer to use GUI for visual things, like drawing, since that’s what it’s best at.
