I like to imagine someone saying the top part out right before they start a round of a game then immediately transition to the bottom.

Tbh when it comes to stuff like the pooh movie. I think that probably could count as fair use anyway. Ultimately I’ve been hoping for more things to enter public domain for historical preservation via piracy. Just look at Nintendo not only have they done nothing to preserve older games but they seem to go out of their way to make sure they get erased. Because how dare someone get a product you don’t even sell anymore. I just see these parody? films and think the only reason they exist is because copyright life has been extended for soo far that people are giddy that they can now use and distribute old content.

Yea I’m finding the bulk of the Vermont accent is just stressing the beginning of words and mumbling the least letter. So lie we kinn a sou liee thihs all the timee. It was pretty jarring moving to Florida after growing up around folks that talked like that.

Fr poop is natural and it does a pretty good job at promoting plaint growth. Hell it’s not like your going to come across poop from racoons or deer. Hell I’m Shure if you were to go off trail it’s likely you might come across a half eaten deer. Poop is just as natural as death.

Yaknow I just thought of one technicality that would make time stopping a very miserable super power. What if you are also paused. Or what is the physics of paused time. Like do you need time to make stuff move. If that’s also the case wouldn’t your clothes stop you from moving in paused time. That’s not even mentioning air is also mass. That needs to move to let you move about. Edit: also if mass doesn’t require time to move. What about energy. Would everything feel like it has a shit ton more momentum than normal. How tiring would walking be.

There typically aren’t any cars in fantasy worlds. The closest you get are horse drawn carages.

No it was a project back in the 1950 I think and it was this big mobile lab but because there was this belief that rounded tires preformed better in the snow the builders sanded the tread off the off-road tires they got also the engines while they had plenty of torque the fastest the artic explorer could go was 2 mph and when it finally arrived at the artic it got stuck immediately and moved faster in reverse the scientists got soo fed up with constantly digging the 70ton paper weight free that they just gave up and started using it was a small stationary base until the ice under it broke then 20 years later vw sent a bone stock Beatle that managed be the first car to drive across the artic with 0 issues

I’d define thriving by peoples control over their lives. Like working class people being able to persue hobbies and afford luxury items. Yea it’s quite possible to make people live long lives but from what I’ve seen in my home state of Vermont living a long fulfilling life is much harder than having a long miserable life. From what I understand I didn’t know that people lived longer in the ussr but I’m aware the average jo didn’t have a color tv or a car much less a car with climate control, radios, automatic transmissions, convertible tops or a sense of fashion. I’m even told a toilet that flushed was quite the lugury just as it is in China. I can buy that people who didn’t get disapeared could live long lives but it couldn’t have been pleasant lives. Seriously American consumer products were so good that many of us are still using tractors from the 50s houses from that same time are just now starting to rot. Even today Japan is making cars that are far more reliable and efficient than any other countries. Tiwan is leading the way in high quality computer chips. Chips that are used in both weapons and lugury products. Henry Ford forsed all car companies to make cars for average folks. Then other companies were able to force Ford to make cars that aren’t the model t.

Honestly English has a lot of little things that I don’t like about English but I can only imagine how you make the distinction between “Prinsesse pult i vinkel” and “prinsessepult i vinkel” when speaking and does that phenomenon effect other speaking situations at least with my home state our accent involves giving up on pronunciation halfway through the word so you can just listen for when centince has definition and transitions to mumbling to hear when one word ends and the other starts

Disney is gouging customers with a near doubling of subscription costs. (sh.itjust.works)

Disney is raking its customers over the coals with a 75% price hike for their annual subscription (originally $80.) People wonder why piracy is on the rise.Multiple commenters are saying I’m off base about the 75% price increase. My payment less than a year ago was $79.99. Here’s the proof.

@creditCrazy@lemmy.world avatar

Honestly considering where we are 40 years would probably be a good transition on the way to 20 considering how much corporations today like their 80s ips so making everything made before the 80s public domain could allow a actual proposal like this to not get shot down by corporations like Disney you do bring up a good point with the perverse incentive
