Except for the Yes -> Then Don’t Worry part. If there is something that can be done then it should probably be done. Which will take time/effort/expense/cooperation.
From what I’ve seen of him he is very intelligent, I generally agree with his views, he doesn’t seem to have have anger, greed, or vanity issues. I’m not sure his temperament would produce good Commander in Chief decisions but overall he seems like a great candidate.
Googling problems certainly helps but you still need enough knowledge to define the problem, Google it, and implement the solution.
I get the impression that a lot of posted solutions are from people who actually spoke to high level tech support for various hardware/software because how else would they know things like what obscure registry key with a very arbitrary name to add?
I have a truck to haul things. Trash, lumber, kayaks, bikes, and I’ve moved friends and family members at least 6 times. It’s a 1995 and it spends most of its time parked though, it’s not a daily driver. And I really dislike all the tall and massive trucks now. I want a bed that’s actually low enough to be accessible.
I wouldn’t want Lemmy to host videos, they require a lot of storage and bandwidth for a service the users pay nothing for. 60 seconds of video could equal many thousands of text posts and links. I hope Lemmy stays simple.
I was a bit before that, my group of friends liberally shared 5 1/4" floppies with C64 games on them. I also remember a demo being passed around where someone (not one of my friends) managed to encode about 10 scratchy seconds of “Why can’t this be love?” by Van Halen onto a 360K floppy disk and it was amazing at the time.
