I hope someday we'll find a way to pirated a car (lemmy.world)

In the end, the KIA car company made its cars into subscription models, I really hate this because in the end the car we buy with our own money doesn’t feel like it belongs to us. Should we finally buy an old school car ? so as not to be affected by this subscription models or is there a way to crack the software installed in...

derpgon,

cough cough KIA cough cough

derpgon,

The question is, who will venture deep enough and understand all the hurdles like the car self-bricking after even trying to peek at the SW or HW.

derpgon,

But Facebook hasn’t renamed. It’s still Facebook, but under company called Meta.

derpgon,

Ugreen aswell. They chargers and powerbanks are sturdy, compact, and work great.

derpgon,

If only they weren’t so fucking ugly

derpgon,

Of course it is. Just a reminder that IaaS > SaaS. Host your own stuff, it’s not that hard, amd nobody will come snooping.

derpgon,

At least when you pirate it you have chance of it not containing malware.

derpgon,

If you get Vaultwarden, absolutely free, you don’t have to pay and have full control over your data. It’s a win-win!

derpgon,

Of course, but that doesn’t mean one should get it. If you are gonna haul wood once a year, you are not BUYING a log trailer and just tow it behind you vehicle through the city all year - like a sensible person, you rent one for a day or two.

derpgon,

But I WAS blaming the drivers.

derpgon,

No problem, I misread stuff aswell. Let’s agree to agree!

derpgon,

You did, but said I blame the driver not the truck. Who else to blame? The driver bought and is using the vehicle. I am not against using a vehicle for it’s job, but so many drivers just don’t do that.

I am sure the F-150 has a legitimate use, but it’s seldom used to it’s full potential, and for some reason it’s MOSTLY used legitimately.

derpgon,

I’d prefer a solution out of the box. I am well aware of alternative OSes.

derpgon,

Just skimming through the website, I noticed they use their own Drive solution. Quickly glancing at the images, and it seemed oddly familiar.

And holy shit it they use the exact same setup I set up at work - NextCloud with OnlyOffice integration.

This seems nice.

derpgon,

Photopea is a solid replacement.

derpgon,

Ive been using Manjaro for 5 years now, I’ll try Endevour when I upgrade my laptop. Thanks for the tip!

derpgon,

Good point, I don’t really use iOS, so it didn’t cross my mind.

derpgon,

You are correct, no big + in my app.

derpgon,

BIG SAND WILL NOT STOP ME FROM EATING IT. Take this corpo fucks!

derpgon,

Yeah, those people are delusional, but that’s what you get when you raise kids in a world where having expensive shit is more important than teaching them frugality, money saving, and being nice to each other.

Blue bubbles go brrrr, doesn’t matter the kid doesn’t have attention span due to watching TikTok all day, or eating junk food cuz parents order fast food and have frozen pizza every day for dinner.

derpgon,

Fight the system, if someone laughs at you for having a green bubble, just counter by saying you are special and they are just normies like everyone else with blue bubble.

derpgon,

I self-host Hauk, although I could not polish all the bugs myself, it works pretty well.

We have location sharing on 24/7, it was consensual on both sides, and it is great when coordinating.

I am 27, tho, back in my teenager days there was no location tracking easily available, but I’d use it in a heartbeat. Better than getting asked if I am already on the way home or still at the party.

derpgon,

Oh I am liking this trend. I absolutely hate this form of self-censorship (like some people writing"sh*t" - what did someone dl to you? Who huer you?), but this I can get behind.
