Okay so what’s your take on the core dilemma presented by the villain in Prodigy? Given an apparent choice between isolation and extinction, what do you think the right resolution is? Personally I think the conflict mirrors the real world isolation of Sentinel Island. And with the Sentinelese in mind, it starts feeling culturally insensitive to say isolation has no cultural excuse.

Or do you think the question posed by Prodigy is overly simple?

PS: Israel and Hamas are on the same side. They both want a war. Every anti-Israel person is anti-Hamas, and every pro-Israel person is pro-Hamas. If Israel gave equal rights to Palestinians, nobody would give Hamas good press anymore. No new recruits. People would leave. Hamas’ existence is a choice Israel continues to make every day.

    Whiteness is and has always been evil. Whiteness as an idea was constructed by slave traders to justify slavery. The racial identities of the rest of the world are drawn from their own history, or from labels forced onto them by white people. But the identity of whiteness is nothing but a tool of oppression and evil.

    I made this meme because I noticed the fact that Shran’s insults don’t apply to Travis, which is silly. In a way, Shran upholds white supremacy, because he reduces humanity to “pink skin”, which doesn’t represent everyone. I started thinking about the racial implications of this, and thought the whole situation of Shran participating in black erasure so that the show could avoid being called racist quite ironic and funny.
