Well, people don’t of course all grow to the same direction.
I think we old people (in 40+s) generally appreciate when young people passionately achieve something, even if it doesn’t exactly align with our own values.
As an 80s kid, before I learned a few things about how the world works, fear was very much one of the top feelings I got when near guys I knew were gay. Perhaps you youngsters got to skip that phase.
I never translated that to hate, though. I don’t exactly understand how that process even works. I’ve hated a few individual people in my life (100% because of what they did to me), and I feared none of them.
IDF are the good guys, just like the Ukrainian army is. That doesn’t mean that every single individual in either army are angels or that every operation is virtuous, just that their overall intentions are just.
An important question: What would the world look like if these guys won versus if they lost?
