Yeah, the prices were around +20€ for normal usage, for each user a month. It was a per call cost and the devs would have to eat it if they didn’t charge the users, so many rightfully jumped ship. Who in their right minds would pay more than 20 euros to fucking access reddit on their phone, per month? Yeah right, fk you too.
Well, that’s not really true isn’t it? I’m not against stealing games from corporate devs, but imagine you decide to get a kick ass printer, those they use in companies. Those printers are usually leased, not bought, and the printer leasing company usually updates and upgrades it every X time. The company pays for the use of the printer, but they don’t own it. The leasing company is very clear in what they are selling you, they are selling you a service. You still need to have a place to store the printer, you still need to pay for the ink used, you still need to have paper, just as a game needs storage space, a gpu and all the periferals.
Imagine if taking a printer from the leasing company makes them lose 0 money in material costs, since this is what happens with digital goods, they still lose money from you being able to use the printer without paying the lease, when you would originally not be able to use it if they didn’t develop it. In that sense, what you stole is their revenue from the lease.
All of this to say that pirating IS stealing, and I still do it proudly. All of this to say, either they let me own it or I’m stealing it.
I have read that the SY devs will now fork from mihon, and that they will develop both I think. No idea about the tachi dev. If that’s the case then I guess that that dev also worked on SY, or they talked or whatever. I’ll keep an eye on the commits and repo.
Hey, I use it more for Korean webcomics than manga, there’s lots of us. And kakao doesn’t really have a leg to stand on with either against tachi, it’s just that the devs don’t want the hassle, which is completely understandable.
What I know for sure is that I will never know if time travel is a thing, because if I ever knew, I would already know. This means that if it’s ever invented, it will be after I die, and they will never travel to places I read or know about, because if they did, I would try to get in it, and then youg me would know. So current me would know. Since I don’t know, I will never know it.
I still do it without coins because that’s what I’ve done in my entire life. Like, not returning the cart never even entered my mind as a possibility (it’s still not one).
I’ve seen some un returned carts sporadically, but I’ve always assumed that there was some emergency.
On the Internet however? I’ve seen people argue that not returning carts is good for the economy because there’s people whose job is to return those, and if we did return the carts they would lose their job. Which is… Stupid to say the least.
I speak Spanish and it’s wild to have no many randomly decided silent letters in words. We have the H that is silent always, and that’s it. We have Salmón, with the intonation in the o, and we of course pronounce the L. I can’t even say salmon without the L while not sounding stupid.
You would also account the gas and maintenance of the car that needs to drive that much. Also, now you are doing “overtime” every day. Thanks no thanks.
It’s the best if you convince your boss that you need it for work in your non admin privilege system because you can sudo inside there so you can install whatever.
Not really, I just info dump my partner on my coffee break and since she’s not a dev, the process of simplifying the issue so she somewhat understands and shortening it so she doesn’t get too bored is helpful enough.
If you are asking what rubber ducking is, it’s the practice of explaining your issues to a toy as if it were a coworker. Explaining your issues to a coworker forces you to organise your thoughts and problems so that wherever you tell makes sense, and a lot of times the act of organising pushes you to vetch the fault in your logic, or the issue that needs fixing, the missing part…
