fushuan, to lemmyshitpost in Revolutionary free thinker Andrew Tate

Iirc they knew he was in Romania, but not where in Romania. The pizzabox photo let them call the store to ask the address of the delivery.

fushuan, to lemmyshitpost in What the hell! Let's all just go crazy!

I speak Spanish and it’s wild to have no many randomly decided silent letters in words. We have the H that is silent always, and that’s it. We have Salmón, with the intonation in the o, and we of course pronounce the L. I can’t even say salmon without the L while not sounding stupid.

If you are asking what rubber ducking is, it’s the practice of explaining your issues to a toy as if it were a coworker. Explaining your issues to a coworker forces you to organise your thoughts and problems so that wherever you tell makes sense, and a lot of times the act of organising pushes you to vetch the fault in your logic, or the issue that needs fixing, the missing part…

fushuan, to linuxmemes in You have no power here

It’s even worse, since exe files can have custom icons, the malware will have a mp3 player icon in their exe file, making it totes confusing.

fushuan, (edited ) to piracy in Tachiyomi replacement is out

Mihon is from the tachiyomiSY devs, ick I don’t know if they are the same but from a glance they are different.

“I’ll try to fix it. Now that I put it in taking it down brings the Internet down. Sorry, let me think how to fix this”

And literally put up excuses until they get used to it. I’m sorry but they made you do stuff you didn’t enjoy for your own good while telling white lies, it’s time for payback.

fushuan, to piracy in Feeling the lack of moderation now Reddit?

Yeah, the prices were around +20€ for normal usage, for each user a month. It was a per call cost and the devs would have to eat it if they didn’t charge the users, so many rightfully jumped ship. Who in their right minds would pay more than 20 euros to fucking access reddit on their phone, per month? Yeah right, fk you too.

fushuan, to piracy in I'm happy he did actually say it

Well, that’s not really true isn’t it? I’m not against stealing games from corporate devs, but imagine you decide to get a kick ass printer, those they use in companies. Those printers are usually leased, not bought, and the printer leasing company usually updates and upgrades it every X time. The company pays for the use of the printer, but they don’t own it. The leasing company is very clear in what they are selling you, they are selling you a service. You still need to have a place to store the printer, you still need to pay for the ink used, you still need to have paper, just as a game needs storage space, a gpu and all the periferals.

Imagine if taking a printer from the leasing company makes them lose 0 money in material costs, since this is what happens with digital goods, they still lose money from you being able to use the printer without paying the lease, when you would originally not be able to use it if they didn’t develop it. In that sense, what you stole is their revenue from the lease.

All of this to say that pirating IS stealing, and I still do it proudly. All of this to say, either they let me own it or I’m stealing it.

fushuan, to linux in Just install EndeavorOS lol

About 3, idk what’s going on with my system, but sometimes after a big yay update, the kde login fails (something about the plasma environment failing to boot or idk I have not debugged it correctly yet), then after a reboot systemd-boot fails to load it and the efi entry dissapears. I’m forced to arch-chroot and reinstall the bootctl. After doing so, sometimes I have to do it again and other times it logs correctly.

Again, not debugged it correctly but it’s not like I did any kind of weird change to any config, just installed some flatpaks, some steam games, and lutris for League, which in the end is basically wine, and a yay update provoking this behaviour is pretty bad.

fushuan, to comicstrips in Online movie reviews [Beetlemoses]

Most of the time it’s contextual. It’s not the film itself most people remember, but what they felt while watching it, so if it felt special to them in that moment, they will remember it as a great movie, but if they then try to recall it in the future, it won’t feel the same since it lacks all the “magic”.

fushuan, (edited ) to piracy in Which are the best SFW extensions for Tachiyomi?

My go to is discovering comics outside of tachiyomi and then searching them inside. For most manga that exists on webpages like mangahere or mangakakalot, the first or last page tells you which scanlators did it, and in most cases there’s an extension to their direct webpage. You can then add that extension and migrate the comic.

Also, you can go to settings, browse, and untick the option for +18 content sources. Those extensions should dissappear.

fushuan, to memes in Does mountain dew taste better than black tea? Yes. Does it also cost 30 times as much to get the caffeine fix? Yes.

Monster White is my bane. It’s so good. It also has lots of caffeine. Send help.

fushuan, to piracy in TachiyomiSY devs have announced to work on a new "spiritual successor" of Tachiyomi

Hey, I use it more for Korean webcomics than manga, there’s lots of us. And kakao doesn’t really have a leg to stand on with either against tachi, it’s just that the devs don’t want the hassle, which is completely understandable.

fushuan, to comicstrips in Offering solutions is annoying

Not really, I just info dump my partner on my coffee break and since she’s not a dev, the process of simplifying the issue so she somewhat understands and shortening it so she doesn’t get too bored is helpful enough.

fushuan, to memes in This is literally the internet nowadays without an adblock

Some people care more about fucking advertisers than privacy, as long as they don’t have to suffer through the ads themselves. But yeah, blocking is more private than fake clicking.
