tl;dr the company Taylor manufactures the ice cream machines to fail without any explanation or diagnosis process, then charge wildly exorbitant fees to fix them, and cut McD’s in on the profit. Some franchises found ways around this and McD’s just ordered them to stop. So the franchises just leave them broken as often as possible.
I don’t expect it either, which is why these things don’t make sense anymore, and why I actually recently passed them up for an X86 competitor. Prices of RPi’s have inflated, supply has gone down to nothing, and all the while all sorts of competition has entered the SBC scene that provides a much better value.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the RPi and I feel like a real cool nerd with bare PCBs sitting around my house, but they’re just too expensive now.
I have a unique name, think John Doe, and I’m hoping to create a unique and “professional” looking email account like johndoe@gmail.com or john@doe.com. Since my name is common, all reasonable permutations are taken. I was considering purchasing a domain with something unique, then making personal family email accounts for...
I don’t give my personal email address to literally anyone. Everyone gets an alias.
Once someone gets your personal email address and leaks it, there is no way to stop spam. You cannot delete your personal address because it is your account identity.
Firefox Relay, AnonAddy, SimpleLogin, all great services.
I have a business email address that I’m just unfortunately stuck digging through spam.
Hi friends. I’m new to the whole homeserver. I managed to make a ton of progress very quickly using CasaOS but I’ve been hung up on this for a couple of days now....
These are not tracking links in the conventional sense where they append tracking data to the legitimate link. They just hijack the link that someone else posts and replace it with an entirely new tracking link with a l.facebook.com domain.
No link cleaning software I have found works because of this.
Appimage for me ticks all the boxes for cross distro package as its very portable, simple to run, what are devs trying to do when creating snaps and flatpack?
AppImages suck because I can’t pin them to my dashboard, can’t set them to open at startup and can’t set them as default apps for the appropriate filetypes.
Heya! I’m looking to install Linux for the first time on parts from my old pc builds to use as a media centre and multiplayer gaming system in my living room. Something with as clean as possible interface with room for customization would be cool. Oh and support for my old nvidia gpu....
the heroic launcher was recently updated to support gamescope (installed it through flatpak by installing org.freedesktop.Platform.VulkanLayer.gamescope 23.08 through the terminal using >flatpak install)....
The reason I gave up on MP3’s and subscribed to Spotify was because Spotify was easy. I’ve been listening “Iron Maiden - Empire of the Clouds” song every day and like a week ago, its removed. This was the last straw for me. Right now I’m trying to find “Stremio” of the music world. Can someone assist?...
This person gave up on pirating MP3s because it was too complicated and the top suggestion is to start a homeserver. LOL you guys are woefully out of touch.
That’s because it’s built on top of uBlock. If you click on the extension it even has the uBlock logo. It’s literally just uBlock except it clicks on ads in the background. It even tells you how much projected money you cost them for clicking their shitty ads. And the websites gets paid. Only the advertisers get shafted.
What killed it, well after reviewing some PS4 gameplay I noticed that it was having audio issues, like it would allow some sounds but not all. It was almost as if it was receiving a 5.1 audio output but was missing the centre channel. Even though the PS4 was set to stereo....
Use container tabs or profiles in your favorite browser
Use dedicated apps like FreeTube, GrayJay, NewPipe, Invidious, LibreTube, etc. that don’t even ask for a login.
So is there an easy way to migrate all your stuff to some other email service and what are some good ones?
So you can set up a free Proton Mail account and then connect it to your Google account and it will begin archiving all of your emails, past and future. It also has a way better web client than Gmail (not saying much).

How to prevent link hijacking on sites like Facebook, Reddit and Twitter?
Lately I’ve noticed some mainstream sites injection tracking links into literally every link on their site....
Flatpack, appimage, snaps..

Ways to pirate music as convenient as Spotify?
