Is there a way to change default preview size in the feed?

Default image size near post in global feed is annoyingly small, until you click on it. And sometimes if you do, you got send to another site, cause that was not a preview of picture, but preview of a site instead. It’s annoying, is there a simple way to change default behavior?

what's a good downvoting guideline to follow?

downvoting everything i disagree with seems excessive and unhealthy, considering i can just ignore and move on. Beehaw doesn’t have downvotes at all, reasoning that you can ignore it and move on or report it, and it seems to work fine for them. i do think downvotes have a use though, i’m just not sure what it is. what do you...

From my end, it sounds like you want things that haven’t been developed yet and don’t like the bandaid solutions that have been added to try and help. There are a ton of things that won’t work from the different apps and again, expecting them to makes it sound like you have expectations that just can’t be met right now.

I was recently talking to some friends about Lemmy and the whole Fediverse idea, as it seemed like a really cool part of the Internet. As I was talking about it, though, I realized how unusually friendly this whole place is, and I joked that I “surprisingly haven’t found any bigotry.”...
