A system update broke a dependency for libre Sprite, which hasn’t had an update in like two years. You can say they should but let’s be real, my apps shouldn’t break with an update. One of my laptop needs was portable graphics creation. This broke one of my major use cases. Yay.
That may be true for some users but there are those in decent quality looking for a more technical experience. Development comes to mind; you probably should use the latest versions in some cases.
Don’t think that will happen so smoothly. People will go where it is easiest to one stop shop. I’m not jumping to multiple artists pages or different delivery services/shops when it’s all available at once, together, curated, with algorithmic lists and suggestions for new content. I came for a reddit replacement and instead I found an interesting subset of what I got at Reddit. And it is not better content or engagement wise. It’s useful but niche, and therefore less useful overall than Reddit was.
I’d be interested to know the breakdown of AAA titles in that library!
Gimp is appropriately titled as it is a joke compared to Photoshop. If this is the closest suggestion to a suitable replacement it will guarantee windows/osx always has a place in my work environment.
