year of the linux desktop is based on how many third party apps are there, not how many people use it imo. they correlate and impact one another but arent the same

indias growth is so important, it’s such a dense country so growth will be rapidly exponential unlike 95℅ of other countries. it’s the perfect mixing pot of technologically literate, dense, money conscious, and distrustful of western influence for linux to thrive in. once india is dominated by linux, it will expand outwards so fast.

get flatseal, stick with flatpaks from your app manager. use keepass for your passcodes and syncthing to sync everything. have fun!

hi all, ive tried using shotcut and kdenlive but the outputted file ends up being huge. i have a single image and want to put audio on top (releasing a song) but these programs end up making video files where they render the same image on each frame and the files end up being huge. what is the best way to achieve my use case of...

oh i didnt think this is how it worked, i ended up using ffmpeg to make a one frame a second video but it still looks blurry??

so im not sure if this is update related or storage related. somewhere online told me to check ‘page faults’ and theyre at 16998 MINFL and 114 MAJFL. i ran out of storage on my ssd so i clesred half of it by deleting timeshift snapshots (and disabled it). it’s still running like a slug. once an application is open, it’s...
