That’s an improvement. But risk = impact * probability. Realistically, the probability of installing such an app from repos is virtually non-existent. My point is that Wayland comes with some improvements, but I’ve been seeing comments like the one I replied to for almost 15 years, as if Wayland will revolutionize Linux desktop. It won’t. Probably most users won’t see any difference, except for bugs caused by the migration.

I don’t have a Google account, so that’s not possible. I don’t use YouTube directly to watch it either.

I’ve made the switch to FOSS. When faced with tasks that would only require two clicks in Photoshop, I turn to online searches like “how to do X in GIMP.” However, the results are often in the form of either a 10-minute video or a 10-step article. I’m not engaged in professional work. While I partially agree with your point of view, I find it the suggestion to “consider GIMP and Inkscape” superficial in this context. I could accept it if the person I was responding to had shared useful links or information to aid in the transition: sets of useful plugins, free tutorials, and other resources aimed towards those, who are familiar with Photoshop. Any software is just a tool. The OP’s objective is to accomplish tasks, so it’s natural for them to stick with familiar tools instead of learning new instruments. Consider another thing: if they are professionals in the field, they must have practice and deep knowledge of tools like Photoshop, not GIMP.

Issue with Samsung Odyssey G3 and squashed windows after a period of inactivity (i.imgur.com)

I have two screens, one of them is Samsung Odyssey G3. This model has some sort of “deep sleep”, it takes more time to wake one up after a period of inactivity (i.e. AFK). As a result, all windows that are placed on this screen are squashed. See the attached screenshot....

I like the idea of Piped, because I could use it with LibreTube and have same subscriptions on different devices. But since Piped doesn’t work at all for me for the past week, I’ve switched to FreeTube. It works with no issues.

From my experience, LibreTube simply doesn’t work without a kbm. I couldn’t even select an instance using the TV controller.
