Fresh minced garlic is easier to use and likely better, but the jarred stuff probably works fine in a pinch. I stopped making fresh ginger and used jarred for that now because it’s such a pain in the ass to prep. Garlic is too easy though, I never use jarred. I see the appeal though.
I know some people think there’s an aftertaste with iodized salt. I don’t have that experience. Is sea salt or kosher salt better than table salt? Maybe? There honestly isn’t much of a difference unless your recipe calls for a more coarse grind, in which case you need to adjust to prevent oversalting.
The prepackaged parmesan (which I like to call wood pulp) has a hugely inferior taste to freshly ground Parmesan. Big difference in flavor, but it also does depend on the application. Mixing a large quantity into a sauce? Yes, absolutely get fresh. Using as a garnish? Who cares?
I don’t think they’re problematic, but as a slightly above average height American male, I feel like my hands skew towards the smaller side of average which makes a difference. I have no problem with the joycons attached to the console, and I’m also a big fan of the pro controller. A friend of mine who is notably much taller bought me pro-like third party joycons for Christmas and they hurt my hands to use in contrast to the OG that don’t bother me at all.
With support ending for Windows 10, the most popular desktop operating system in the world currently, possibly 240 million pcs may be sent to the landfill. Oh my God please fuck off with this. Not everything single fucking issue is related to capitalism. You guys need to chill the fuck out and find some new hobbies.
As an adult who thought that they hated pretty much all veggies (especially broccoli and corn) and found out that I absolutely love them when prepared fresh and that the bagged versions tasted like ass, I’m gonna call bullshit on that.
It might work for you, but nothing beats freshly-prepared corn, whether grilled in the husks or cut and sauteed.
You have to think of the general public and their patience for subpar serialized moviegoing experiences. Marvel hasn’t had a standout movie since Endgame and the final movie of the Spiderman Home series. The last one I saw in theaters was Doctor Strange 2, but that was only because it was the “ending” for Wandavision. The last four movies since then have not been great, and Captain Marvel doesn’t exactly get crowds excited. I’m not even going to bother because I’ve learned from the Marvel movie experience that is so serialized and there are so many references that I’ll probably need to slog through the ones I missed to fully enjoy it without being confused. I have mild interest but not enough to change the position I’m in.
The MCU Golden Age is over. We’ll have to get past Phase 5 and see where we end up, because Phase 4 only had a few enjoyable films, and Phase 5 so far has been pretty bad.
Sorry you have to hear it this way, but a butt towel requiring a wash in detergent and even more water than you just flushed is less eco-friendly than two squares of toilet paper.

We did. Keep in mind that the explosion of growth on Lemmy is mostly made up of people that lost their apps due to the API rule changes, the ones that were opinionated and engaged enough to be selecting a 3rd party solution. So, Lemmy just got bombed with the loudest and most self-righteous of reddit users that now loudly circlejerk about how much better Lemmy is. In reality, all we have is a less diverse crowd of really loud people. Same shit, different platform.
