You bought the reddit version, and it was for the lifetime of the reddit app. He had to rebuild the backend from scratch for it to work with Lemmy, it isn’t the same app anymore.

It has to do with balancing home life with work on a rotating shift. Getting out of work at 5pm allows time with the family in the evening. Arriving home at 8pm pretty much guarantees you won’t see them because you’ll be asleep on night shift until right before your shift. Folks prefer 4am over 5am for this reason.

US residents: What big domestic policy improvements have the american people won from congress in the last 30 years? (kbin.social)

Interpret improvements as you like. For me it's any large scale reforms or legislative packages designed to improve the country for all or see to the material interests of the majority without overly benefiting the elite....

We didn't think those things would suck initially either. Facebook was amazing around 2004 - 2006 before it opened up to the general public.

Before it opened up to the general public, we used it to organize parties, share photos without concern, and keep in touch with friends that went to other colleges. There wasn't anything else like it.

John has acknowledged it on Twitter, but there won't be any segments on it until the writer's strike is over.

I've never been so happy to browse old.reddit /r/pics with an ad-blocker on.
