I still keep my Hotmail/Yahoo/etc., but I’ve gotten my name as a domain and use that for professional communication.

It has catch-all support, so whether you send an email to hi@name.com or “XxX_360noscopegamer_xXx@name.com”, I still receive it.

It might work for a small time landlord, but larger real estate agencies have other ways to check your income.
