I tried it twice. it require enabling affinity support, which causes vscodium to freezes after an hour of use. might be an issue just on my machine, but it made be use just nvim :)

I used to use discord, but have switched to matrix since then, which is a better and libre alternative.

lemmesay,
@lemmesay@discuss.tchncs.de avatar

well, both are terrible choices.
discord: no end-to-end encryption
whatsapp: mobile number is your identity

but yeah, it’s pick you poison.

lemmesay,

unrelated to discord:
slack also changed their navigation to club DMs in one place recentlyk at least on browsers), which I’m disliking

Non-root user that (suddenly) has elevated privileges in a specific command (only). [Have I been hacked?]

Title. Long, short story: creating or editing files with nano as my non-root user gives (the file) elevated privileges, like I have ran it w/ sudo or as root. And the (only) “security hole” that I can think of is a nextdns docker container running as root. That aside, its very “overkill” security-wise (cap_drop=ALL,...

do you use windows for your gaming machine?
i had to install it on a family laptop because of some apps that worked on windows only. I wanted to install a locked-down version of it and came across reviOS. it’s a stripped down version of windows with cruft removed. it was very very fast(almost comparable to my Debian machine). perhaps it’d be of interest to you if you’re into privacy. An alternative to that is winutil, which is basically a script to debloat windows.

oh. I don’t have it. do you have lineageOS? I’m using Motorola.

no, I’m using Motorola. but thanks for the info. won’t buy a Samsung in future.

reminds me of you’ll own nothing and be happy.

it’s them who own everything. they’ll change something one day(common example being prices and how they abuse your data) and you’ll be asked to either continue or leave.

you can just download those via Microsoft’s website as vsix and import them to codium. and maybe add an issue/pr in extension’s repo so that it’s available on open-vsix next time. :)

yes, there should be a description box for sending additional inputs from the user. like what were they trying to do.

but GNU/Linux developers are already saddled with a lot of work, and I don’t mind restarting the app at all. :)

update: doesn’t have button on my machine.
just two buttons: show/hide details, and report. can’t even go back or close it.

screenshot of pop-up after report was clickedsame poou-up, just expanded

were you thinking of bram moolenaar, the creator of vim?

he was not a king, but rather a benevolent dictator. :)

I love GNU/Linux.

Before I used Debian, I’d constantly fight with my operating system. Every time I opened michaelsoft binbows(which would take ages to open), I’d make sure that simplewall is running, so that bill doesn’t get any more info, after every 180 days, I’d run MAS to renew my office 365. I’d manually sync time since windows would use that same domain to send telemetry.

Now everytime I turn on my computer, the swirl of Debian greets me in a flash, my i3 being ready even before I sit.

I can spend hours doing work without any mandatory updates . It is an operating system that never makes me feel its presence. For that I’m grateful to people like Ian, Stallman, Linus, among countless others making my life better.
