There’s mountains of evidence of Israel torturing or raping children, pregnant women, and elderly Palestinians. I am happy to show you some of that evidence.
The magnitude of the crimes committed by Israel is not even comparable. Israel has officials and generals who brag about raping Palestinians.
There’s many Palestinians in Israeli territory right now. If they were willing to compromise, they wouldn’t be brutalizing them weekly, gassing them in places of prayer and stripping away their rights.
Sorry for my aggressive response, I thought you were trolling but it seems you may have been serious.
In that case, yes you’re wrong. Hamas’ goal is liberation of their people, not maximizing casualties. Israel’s goal is establishing and maintaining a Jewish state, so maximizing casualties (belonging to the wrong religion or ethnicity) is their goal.
<span style="color:#323232;">Hamas affirms that its conflict is with the Zionist project not with the Jews because of their religion. Hamas does not wage a struggle against the Jews because they are Jewish but wages a struggle against the Zionists who occupy Palestine. Yet, it is the Zionists who constantly identify Judaism and the Jews with their own colonial project and illegal entity.

The document you linked is from 1988, from when Hamas was first founded and was a fringe insignificant islamist group (which Israel admitted to have propped up and wanted to become the prominent Palestinian group) with minimal popular support. This was revised when Hamas underwent radical change, many members joined it from the former PLO, and Hamas became the sole group resisting apartheid.
It is possible. But in this case, it is occupier vs occupied. An ethnoreligious state vs stateless people being ethnically cleansed. Something being possible doesn’t make it factual.
Inb4 people who were silent as Israel has been attacking gaza an average of 3 times per day, are now suddenly worried about civilians when Hamas responded
If we had to spend our energy critiquing something, Palestinian resistance is the last thing you should critique. Their damage is miniscule compared to what Israel has done, and they’re still far more humane. At the very least, the operation’s target was military installations, encampments and officials. Israel’s target is civilians themselves.
This isn’t to deny that civilians died in crossfire or even needlessly killed. Hamas is not an organized state nor a hive mind, and after living their whole lives in a concentration camp, it’s a miracle that only a minority of their fighters engage in needless killing of civilians who were rave dancing at the gates of their concentration camp.
Can I critique it? Sure, I wish it didn’t happen. But I blame Israel for taking us this far. If it wasn’t for Israel, we wouldn’t have had so many people living in constant war and massacre their entire lives for hate to brew in their hearts. To live with either two choices: wait in suffocating conditions for your death to come, or resist.
If you only criticize civilian casualties when Palestine resists, then your concern isn't civilian casualties. Your concern is Palestine resisting massacre. (lemy.lol)
This meme is from 2004. History repeats itself.
Sadly Israel is too powerful right now, but hopefully one day the genocide will stop! (lemy.lol)
