You know what’s curious about this whole exchange? Your orignal comment clearly went against trans people in general, but as soon as you got some well-deserved pushback, you backpedal and try to specify only disliking a certain type of person, like that makes it any better.
But anyway. Yeah, natural curiosity is perfectly normal. What’s it like to have this or that bodypart? Never boring to think about.
I don’t see what that has to do with anything, though.
While we’re still on the topic of wanting attention, I reckon I gave you enough of it, more than you deserve.
So again, if you know how to self-reflect, do that.
To feel special, or to feel like themselves, which makes them feel excited and happy in a way they haven’t been in a long time, maybe ever?
People are feeling more and more comfortable to come out and be public with who they are, and that’s a good thing.
If you misinterpret that as a weird fad or trend to feel ✨special✨, then I don’t know what to tell you.
Maybe you should take a closer look at yourself, to figure out why it’s bothering you so much. I’m not trying to insinuate anything here, I don’t know you. Only you can come to a conclusion that makes sense.
But whatever that conclusion is, please find it. Take a step back and evaluate what you feel from a neutral distance.
So, these rights protect a persons will to be who they want to be, and to do what they want to do. They aim to let a person live their life, unbothered.
Well, their position is what allowed them to do so much for Linux. And their desire to distance themselves from Microsoft, which I’m absolutely on board with.
For some reason, I’ve never really thought about this. I splash my face, my neck, wet my arms and legs, but I always forget the top of my head.
Maybe I unconciously assume my hair provides good shade, but it’s definitely not long and thick enough for that.
plan your day around the heat
This is probably the most important part. It’s quite easy to do that on weekends, but many people have their set in stone hours at work that just aren’t compatible with that kind of weather.
We need to figure out how employers can be more flexible with allowing their employees to work around the heat when possible. It’s normal for construction workers to start earlier and pause during the hottest hours, why not do that in the office too?
Some middle-european countries are starting to consider the siesta model of their southern neighbours, and I think that’s not a bad idea at all.
The good old you can always add more layers. The coldest temperature I ever experienced in my region was -26°C, the hottest just over 40. Between the two, I much prefer the former.
But then again, it just boils down to what you’re used to. Our winters have always been on the harsher side, and I’m not even far up north.
Every new heatwave has me holding on for dear life. Judging by recent years, my body will have to adapt sooner than later, otherwise I’m going to have a really bad time going forward.
