moitoi,

Interestingly, with this type of town, it’s easier and quicker to go out of the town than in American car centric towns.

Public transports are more efficient. You don’t need cars. You have parcs and actual green space. The energy consumption is also reduced.

It’s no magic that they built these type of towns in the past. They couldn’t afford our type of energy consumption and land use. And, it was more practical for the daily life.

moitoi,

Neoliberalism greatly expanded the dominance of market forces through deregulation, privatization, and regressive forms of taxation, while significantly reducing the state’s role in the economy through cuts to labor, welfare, and social protections.

Behind these economic reforms sat a new idea of what constitutes a good and free society—a concept about what direction we should all be striving in to become the best versions of ourselves. In the new neoliberal era, then, success would be reframed as a product of having exceptional individual qualities (rather than exceptional social privileges and advantages), while failure would be rooted in some kind of personal deficit (rather than in lack of opportunity, equality, or social support).

ByPass Paywall add-on in firefox is not working with paywalled sites. Alternatives? (kbin.social)

As the title says. I am using the ByPass Paywall add-on and it used to work, but since some time it just doesn't. I've made sure the site I am trying to visit is listed in the list of sites, and I've also manually added it, but to no avail. Does anyone know any good alternatives to bypass paywalls, or some way of troubleshooting...

moitoi,

Bypass Paywall Clean (d) is the one. It works even on Android with Nightly.

moitoi,
