I like the way standardisation is going, everything is going to be on the bee standard and that that isnt being updated too well too bad. What seperates us from the windows users is we can evolve if ya look at the distro tree it looks a lot like natrual selection to me

I use manjaro xfce but i would reccommend fedora or mint if ya starting out. Fedora seems to just work most of the time hardware wise.

If only there existed a button to make that person completly disapear from you life entirly. Maybe we can call this button a block button. Hmm in reality i realy like that because it means that other people get to decide if they see an opinion i dont like. Best if we give me ultimate control to make anyone online i disagree with disapear that way ill never have to be offended ever again.

I am pouring one out to this little champ. Stripping HDCP and letting me... archive streaming services from 2016-2023 RIP (lemmy.world)

What killed it, well after reviewing some PS4 gameplay I noticed that it was having audio issues, like it would allow some sounds but not all. It was almost as if it was receiving a 5.1 audio output but was missing the centre channel. Even though the PS4 was set to stereo....

I have been looking at that as an option just feel a little hesitant to buy used drives. But if the wise gentlmen of lemmy reccommend it how bad can it be.

I might use some paid remote storage for an off site backup but i need something local as 0.6Mbps/s is about the best upload i can get without shilling out for starlink.
