pascal,

Sony phones still have the SD card slot, also no notch, a headphone jack while still being water resistant and the RGB notification led, if you’re interested.

Of course they’re more expensive than an iPhone.

pascal,

The rest of us saw the commercial blind, naturally interpreted the relationship as romantic

But… the first single word the actress said was “SISTER!” while pointing at herself…

pascal, (edited )

I watched the ad, never seen before… Am I blind for not seeing the mentioned sexual tension here?

Looks like a common american style ad to me.

pascal,

That’s what I’m saying for a long time after being in Japan a couple of times.

30 years ago, Japan was 20 years in the future, and they liked it so much, they never changed since.

pascal,

Finally a positive post on Lemmy!

pascal, (edited )

Valid point. But I assure you if you lose your wallet in Japan with $300 in it (because, statistically, nobody will steal your wallet), you’ll find it at the police station next day.

(That’s the most statistical thing that can happen, please do not try.)

pascal,

“gentoo users, this is your wakeup call”

that was from 2014.

As a gentoo user, he can go eat some dicks, my system today runs just fine.

pascal,

LoL my current Gentoo system was installed like 12 years ago and moved on 5 different hardware platforms without a proper reinstall.

I have said myself to never peek in the /etc directory for any reason! 😅

pascal,

Last time I used Solaris, that thing locked itself if someone casually unplugs the keyboard. Good luck with the WiFi card! 🤣

pascal,

Final fantasy 7 was 3 CD on PlayStation and 4 CD-ROMs for the windows version.

I know, I was there.

pascal,

Btrfs can do that, but the CPU load would be uncomfortable.

pascal,

Oh I remember that, the Linux installer was included on the CDROM, it was very unusual for that time!

pascal,

$10 for an album? You lucky dog, here one album CD costs at that time around $25.

pascal,

I interact less on Lemmy compared to Reddit, mostly because people here seem to be very vocal and polarised, so every time I have a notification in Lemmy I start groaning “oh god what did I say this time?”

But still, Lemmy is the cradle of humankind and wisdom, compared to Instagram and Facebook.

pascal,

Turkey (lots and lots of meat): 78 years.

Life expectancy is not a good scale.

pascal,

Nothing against people who prefer meat substitutes

That’s good.

I do think they should be brave and just abandon meat altogether

That’s bad.

Now, firstly, thank you for defining a lot of people cowards.

Secondly, while I like indian food, I like meat more. And I liked it since forever. If I can have the delicious taste of meat in my plate without killing an animal, that’s great. Fantastic! I’m eagerly waiting for lab crafted meat any day. I’m willing to pay it more than real meat, because I’m not fond of killing living beings to eat them. But if that’s not yet possible, I’d still have my steak and my hamburger.

pascal,

You have to be a better vegan than them.

Didn’t you know? Todd’s vegan!

pascal,

Yeah, tell him.

I like that all my different vegetables taste like cinnamon and curry.

pascal,

It’s not just culture, or itch, or whatever.

I just love the taste of meat! My body craves for it. But if I can keep that delicious flavour in my plate without killing an animal, that’s great!

pascal,

Do we really need extreme politics in a meme community?

pascal,

Does anyone remember when marijuana.com allowed to create a free email?

pascal,

I think it’s better from a polluting point.

Nothing underground generates oxygen, but moving the roads from above to underground gives more “it’s free real estate” to grow grass and trees, like in the second photo, which generates oxygen and stores carbon. It’s not the best thing like suppressing the cars all together, but it’s better than the first picture.
