pearsaltchocolatebar,

I mean, what else are we going to do with the bodies of child laborers, bury them?

pearsaltchocolatebar,

Actually, being a shitty cook would mean you can’t make anything good with those ingredients.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

I honestly can’t remember the last time I couldn’t open a video file.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

I see you haven’t had Mexican ditch weed, although I did always like quantity over quality.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

I went to high school with a guy that looked like him at 16.

It was unfortunate unless someone needed to get alcohol for a party.

pearsaltchocolatebar, (edited )

Ah, I’m in a border state, so brick weed was super easy to get. I had a buddy that would stuff a quart zip lock full for $40.

I personally find all of the high quality weed to be too strong. I don’t smoke enough to have a high tolerance, so even one hit can be too much. I wish shops would sell lower thc stuff, although I’ve had good success with D8

pearsaltchocolatebar,

Huh, I was about to call bullshit, but I guess Ram is now a subsidiary of Stellantis.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

An ad for what? Dodge hasn’t sold trucks for 14 years.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

Part of the reason the top brass get paid so much is that they’re on the chopping block if something goes wrong like this. It’s so the company can fire ask someone to step down and point to them and say, “See, we did something. Now everyone forgot our gross negligence.”

pearsaltchocolatebar,

Were you born rich? You have to be born rich.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

I’d definitely go with the ability to know anything past, present, or future.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

It would, because you’d be able to choose what information you knew. I’d go straight to solving cold fusion.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

What the actual fuck are you talking about? Do you need medical assistance?

pearsaltchocolatebar,

I think they have a CO leak in their house, or stopped taking their antipsychotics.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

Yes, these things are all happening because Reagan paved the way for it.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

The NSFW subs are horrible about it. Someone makes a new one and then posts dozens of pictures that all show up at once.

pearsaltchocolatebar, (edited )

It’s by fur coat guy’s left hand (just another hint)

pearsaltchocolatebar,

I’d recommend getting into Asimov’s Foundation series. I, Robot is kind of a meh book from him, Imo (I’ve read all his fiction work)

Also take a look at Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park) and Arthur C. Clarke (2001: A Space Odyssey).

I’d also recommend Heinlein, but his books do get pretty “pervy misogynistic old man harem fantasies” in his later years.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

As someone married to a spectrum lady, that description is absolutely not universal.

I'm looking for a privacy respecting vacuum robot

I’m looking for a vacuum robot preferably under 500€ and with a cleaning station. My main concern is that most robot vacuum providers seem to need to be connected to the internet. Are there any providers that either don’t need that, where I can block the internet connection or any other way not getting a spy in my home?...

pearsaltchocolatebar,

I do the reverse. My IoT devices that I didn’t make myself get shut out of communicating with anything but Home Assistant.

I’ll let them have internet access if there’s a firmware update, but that’s it. Anything that requires an internet connection to work doesn’t get purchased.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

The easiest way is to put your IoT devices on the guest network and block internet access to the network, but you could do firewall rules if your router allows that.

Or, get a home lab router instead of consumer grade. I went with MikroTik, and it’s a great bang for your buck. It’s not too dissimilar from Cisco in the cli, but the GUI is nice too.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

French horn, for sure. You’d be surprised at just how prevalent it is in music.

pearsaltchocolatebar,

This isn’t a new phenomenon at all, it’s been a thing throughout human history.
