rbhfd,

Do you see a subway on that picture?

You can’t have failing infrastructure if you don’t have infrastructure 👨🏾‍⚕️

What is Something Scientific that you just don't believe in at all?

EDIT: Let’s cool it with the downvotes, dudes. We’re not out to cut funding to your black hole detection chamber or revoke the degrees of chiropractors just because a couple of us don’t believe in it, okay? Chill out, participate with the prompt and continue with having a nice day. I’m sure almost everybody has something...

rbhfd,

The reason there is a difference in how much light is reflected, is because the moon is in a different position. During a new moon, it’s on the day side of the earth (so in between the sun and the earth) while during a full moon, it’s on the night side.

So there could theoretically be a gravitational effect, although I don’t think it would impact anyone’s sleep.

If anyone is noticing a difference in sleep quality, it’s most likely indeed to do with the amount of light.

rbhfd,

bc they haven’t had as terrible of a racist past as the US

You do know the Holocaust happened in Europe right?

Other than that, I do agree with you. Europe is still very racist but we like to think we’re not. Just because it’s less talked about, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

rbhfd,

You can also do that with Firefox on your computer.

It’s not in settings, but you can easily google the instructions.

rbhfd,

A big enough hit if 42% of Chrome users switch to a different browser.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that people with adblock are more likely to use something other than Chrome. And some people will stay with Chrome and deal with the lack of adblock.

rbhfd,

Now I want to see a video game where every other NPC you talk to, complains about all the NPCs.

rbhfd,

Are the aliens fusion-based lifeforms? They have to get their energy somewhere.

Eating hydrogen and letting out high-pitched helium farts?

rbhfd,

Could it just be a weight thing? So not necessarily fat, muscle could also help.

If you’re body is heating your whole body, the amount of heat added will increase linearly with volume. But your surface area, i.e. the skin, increases sublinearly with volume. So you get more heat per surface unit?

rbhfd,

Interest rates are high because of inflation. It’s high in Europe as well.

Do you know the number one reason inflation is high? It rhymes with “Shmutin invading Ukraine”.

rbhfd,

Agree overall, but I still downvoted because of the statement “veganism is a religion”.

You either don’t know what veganism is or what religion is.

As a meat eater, I applaud anyone that follows or wants to move towards a (more) vegan diet.

rbhfd,

My mind immediately went to Yiga clan when seeing the thumb nail.

rbhfd,

Shadowfox, show us the meaning of haste!

rbhfd,

In Dutch, the proper way to say it’s e.g., 8h30 is “half nine”.

Makes it extra confusing when they say the same in (British) English for 9h30. So short for half past nine.

You wouldn’t pronounce €8.50 as “half nine Euro”.

Even worse: the correct way of saying 8h40 is “10 past half nine”.

rbhfd,

Yes.

8h23 would be 7 before half 9.

But most people while speaking would just say 8.23 or 23 past 8.

rbhfd,

A lot of cities in Europe are actively discouraging people from taking the car to get to the city center. Either by requiring a permit to enter, making it very convoluted to get to your destination by implementing one-way streets and having a few big roads made to take on traffic, outright banning older cars with bad emission, or a combination of the above.

This is typically balanced with park & rides outside the city center, from where you can easily take public transport into the city.

Suppliers are still allowed in and are able to do so because less cars are driving there.

The city I live in has recently implemented such measures. Lots of people were complaining beforehand. But after a few years, there’s not less people making it inside the city, no massive congestion, better air quality,…

Edit: not saying this is necessarily the case here. From other comments, it does seem they moved traffic underground. But my reply is still valid to your comment.
