RFC, pull request to add git.

Reasoning: Having a built-in versioning system would allow humans to rollback roll back undesirable changes and advancements could be made more easily

please comment or downvote if this is a bad idea

I’m kinda surprised that people don’t say modding

recursive_recursion, to linux in What distros have you tried and thought, "Nope, this one's not for me"?
@recursive_recursion@programming.dev avatar

Ubuntu, felt like I was being treated like a child with the lack of user customizability

then I chose to jump directly into Arch Linux🙃 and saw despair from analysis paralysis, somehow I learned Arch in just a month tho🤷‍♀️

Logseq could be another option although I’m unsure about syncing, syncing might be possible via NextCloud/syncthing

Theming seems more relevant and specific than modding/customizing👍

recursive_recursion, to asklemmy in Does wind power cause visual pollution in your opinion?

recursive_recursion, (edited ) to chat in What are some libraries, software, etc... that you'd like to see be built in open-source?
@recursive_recursion@programming.dev avatar

Google Maps replacement with local bus, transit, bike path navigation integration would be pretty sweet to see as a FOSS Rust app

@recursive_recursion@programming.dev avatar

for myself I try not to cuss out other people but if I see someome doing something eggregious egregious or I do something stupid then I’ll swear at them or myself

otherwise I try not to swear too much

recursive_recursion, (edited ) to linux in Anyone have experience with Intel Arc GPUs?
@recursive_recursion@programming.dev avatar

Does anyone know if the drivers are open source?

I’ve heard conflicting claims online and I saw that Phoronix states that they are but their article doesn’t provide any sources backing up that claim

thank you for the correction and merry fucking Christmas to you too!🎄😆

recursive_recursion, to asklemmy in Who agrees this was the best one?
@recursive_recursion@programming.dev avatar

I dunno

I really enjoyed spending thousands of hours in Pokemon Pearl/Diamond mostly cause of the underground and pokemon contests

personal highlights:

  • base building
  • fossil/plate/item hunting
  • poffin making(after I got better at not burning the damn things)
  • biking around and enjoying the scenery

Also I adore the entire Mystery Dungeon series from the Pokemon collection!💖

recursive_recursion, (edited ) to linux in Is there any way to emulate aegis authenticator (fdroid) on an ubuntu based computer?
@recursive_recursion@programming.dev avatar

my method for running Android apps on my distro is to run an Android 9.0-r2 VM on QEMU/KVM via virt-manager

maybe this might work for you?

here’s a guide I found for setting up Virt-manager on Ubuntu

and here’s a vid for setting up Android x86 on Virt-manager

  • not sure if this is the exact same vid I used but it should suffice

hope this works/fits your use case!
