rockSlayer,

Inb4 the British museum claims that Greece can’t take care of the artifacts

CSS Virginia (otherwise known as the Merrimack, Merrimac, or "Rebel Monster") (lemmy.world)

CSS Virginia was the first, but not last, steam-powered ironclad warship built by the Confederate States Navy during the American Civil War. It was constructed from the original lower hull and engines of the scuttled steam frigate USS Merrimack. CSS Virginia famously took part in the Battle of Hampton Roads, opposing the...

rockSlayer,

Quite the fitting end, blown to smithereens just like their lost cause.

rockSlayer,

I understand that, but I didn’t post an actual recipe at first, i posted an idea of a recipe that required an actual basis of understanding to create a basic recipe. No one would accept an unseasoned recipe, not even myself. Even the most complex chicken noodle soup recipe involves salt, pepper, basil, and oregano. Sorry if I didn’t meet your standards initially.

rockSlayer,

I’ve never seen canned celery, but I imagine that it would be far too mushy for chicken noodle soup. Besides, this is the quick and dirty version of the soup, since it takes a minute to chop the celery and then all that’s left is letting it simmer for 20 minutes. Obviously it tastes much better with fresh ingredients

rockSlayer,

perhaps you’d be interested in the fact that I grew up in a very rural area. The nearest city was Rochester, MN, roughly 30 minutes away if you were going 70 in the 55 on US 52. I agree that rural areas will need cars to go from their houses to towns and cities, but I’ve thought extensively about public transit in rural areas, and I think it’s far easier than folks think.

My thoughts too. I figured that the FAA would prevent this from happening for any reason except emergencies

Edit: c’mon folks, I’m not asserting that this is an emergency or that this is against regulations. I thought it was, but if this is a normal landing then it’s simply a surprise to me that it happens.

rockSlayer,

Perfect, looks like I have a small project to get started on!

rockSlayer,

Yep lol it’s all part of the same national park!

rockSlayer,

You drive past it on the way to Devil’s Tower. If you’ve never seen a prairie dog before, you’ll absolutely love it

rockSlayer,

It’s only natural, since everyone seems to be upset about the difficulty in casual and hobby circles

rockSlayer,

OP corrected me, and I edited my comment to reflect the correction. Still don’t see how it’s weird to be upset about a company fining the everliving fuck out of a private citizen because the company is anti-ownership.

rockSlayer,

Lmao, I suppose there’s also that option too. On average, toilets are more sanitary than a phone so it’s not the end of the world if you do drink it

rockSlayer,

There’s also the Hyundai Santa Cruz. It’s a similarly ugly truck that screams “I want a car that’s also tall”

Must have accidentally played their favorite song, Go into the Water

rockSlayer,

Smith can talk all he wants, that doesn’t make his analysis correct.

rockSlayer,

I don’t understand your point. The most important feature of capitalism is the private ownership of capital. Capitalism isn’t “hustle, fuck bitches get money” or whatever. Money and wage labor goes back to the founding of civilization. It isn’t a new invention.

rockSlayer,

There’s no profit in letting users run their own servers

Yes, there is. They make the game more expensive, charge a subscription, and then cut all the cost of hosting. That is where the industry is heading.

rockSlayer,

What do you know, all three happened because of the unrelenting pursuit of profit.

rockSlayer,

and it’s too many damn pages for any man to understand

I’ll see myself out

I’m aware of how recursive force remove works. I’m just kidding around.

rockSlayer,

Got any sources on that claim, or are you just assuming homeless people are inherently incapable of taking care of themselves?

rockSlayer,

I think it’s worth saying that they are advanced techniques that have a decent potential for injury. Inexperienced people should avoid them entirely. Even experienced lifters should have someone trained watching them as a spotter. Remember, your back needs to be arched for the entire set. Anything else is likely to cause injury.

I very much disagree about bouncing out of a squat. Maybe while warming up or with light weight it’s ok, but with heavy weights, the safest technique is a steady and smooth motion while staring at the top of the rack to force a straight back.

I was the oldest, so it was mostly me getting sick of sitting on my siblings every time I wanted to watch south park
