I have noticed that I interact a lot more in Lemmy than I ever did in any social media. Let it be Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter… I am used to be the lurker, but here for some reason things are different. Wonder if more people feel like I do.
In my decade of using reddit, I very rarely posted and maybe commented a couple times a week. I was a certified lurker. In the months of using lemmy, I became a mod for a community, comment nearly every day, and have far surpassed the number of posts I ever made on Reddit. Lemmy is just a nice place to be, and I like interacting with people here
My cat likes to watch me prep, she’s only interested in smelling after we’re done cooking. We’ve started to look for her approval lol it’s her highest mark if she licks her lips
The one that comes to mind for me is Privacy.com, though it’s a paid service. If you just want to have a random CC to get past those “we need a credit card to continue” paywalls, I recommend a fake person generator. They usually include a realistically fake CC
Honestly they should take notes from the Wikimedia Foundation. While they are funded by donations, Wikimedia created a trust that will ensure, without hyperbole, that they never run out of cash
I used to do a lot of lifting. It’s very easy to get the technique wrong, making it more likely to get a back injury. Arching can work out, but it’s a great way to get hurt. Same with bouncing out of a squat.
I think it’s worth saying that they are advanced techniques that have a decent potential for injury. Inexperienced people should avoid them entirely. Even experienced lifters should have someone trained watching them as a spotter. Remember, your back needs to be arched for the entire set. Anything else is likely to cause injury.
I very much disagree about bouncing out of a squat. Maybe while warming up or with light weight it’s ok, but with heavy weights, the safest technique is a steady and smooth motion while staring at the top of the rack to force a straight back.
That’s ok, this map of native American lands is definitely outdated. The Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) lands are much smaller than it should be. As that’s the only tribal name I can actually read, I imagine it’s a similar story for the other tribes.
My siblings and I worked out a system that essentially boiled down to first come first serve, but after at least an hour the others could ask for the remote. Any disagreement led to an informal vote on what to watch, the one with the remote had to oblige

She smell checks almost every ingredient and never tastes. Best cat. Then she smells the end product and we’re both like ‘that’s that done, then’.
